Lane Home Essentials Sofa

The sofa is beautiful. Color is a deep charcoal grey but seems to have blue undertones. The legs are not wood, plastic screw on. Be warned! Delivery had only the driver and no one to help. Someone physically able to move this must be present or you'll be faced with not accepting delivery after a month wait time to get it from the onset. Mine did have damage to the rear of the sofa and both my neighbor (who was thankfully home and able to help) and I were both cut on a small nail extending from the back of the sofa. It smells like nice leather with no offensive chemical smells. It's very comfortable to lay on, but sitting is firm. I wonder whether there is sufficient support and padding to withstand eventual drooping from sitting. The arms are perfect height to use as a pillow and are comfortable as such. I did decide to order the ottoman in lieu of a coffee table, which I think will be the perfect addition to this sofa.Note that the screw holes for the legs are NOT pre-drilled. When turning the sofa to add the legs, which I am unable now to do, I also found damage to the back and bottom of this sofa. Returning is obviously not an option. The original 4 star review is now a 1 star.UPDATE: Ordered ottoman, wrong one delivered. When I attempted to reorder, the price had increased $30 in a day after I left my first 4 star review. I won't be ordering anything additional from Lane via Amazon again. Also, sofa has increased from $550 to $636.

I saw this sofa in a showroom but in the brown leather. Loved the feel of the sofa in the showroom - but didn't love the color - and searched and found this gray on amazon.I had a great delivery experience. Two guys loaded it in where I needed it and attached the legs as well. They were wearing masks and very COVID conscious.Love the color and feel, but the cushions did not feel as great as they did in the showroom. Feel like the quality isn't as great. 1 week after having the couch the frame broke under the back cushion. It's possible it was damaged in shipping and I just didn't notice it - as it wasn't the side I was sitting on mostly. I was really disappointed in the quality and am returning this sofa because of it.

We have barely used this couch and my husband sat on it today and the seat broke. Another review said the same thing. DO NOT BUY THIS COUCH! We have not even sat on this 30 times because it is in a spare room. Hopefully Amazon will help. Contacting them now.

All assembled when it arrived. Only had to put on the four "feet" (they were plastic and a little chintzy.)Couch is well made, good-looking, comfortable, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
