Finish the entire story before making judgements and stick with it the pay off it worth it
I thought it was really well done , and the pay off for all the subtle things sprinkled in was pretty great , it would highly recommend this if you know and understand the character , its all pretty intentional and the most important thing with this is to definitely stick with it till the end especially if you don't like the how it began , either its defo a book Gwenpool fans !

It’s actually pretty good!
Not quite as spectacularly awesome as the original Hastings run but still head & shoulders above most current comic fare. Post-modern hilarity and really cute too.

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”
“Gwenpool Strikes Back!” collects the 5-issue mini-series of that ilk. This was my first graphic novel since the lockdown began – my local libraries reopened a few days ago, and this was waiting for me, having arrived but not been processed the day before lockdown kicked in.This and Squirrel-Girl were at the head of my Marvel’s most wanted list (but then, Squirrel-Girl ought to be at the head of everyone’s most wanted list). It was OK.OK in this context means, as another reviewer said - “head & shoulders above most current comic fare” – but not, to me, as interesting as previous volumes. The new writer has got a good plot, and motivation, but the character seemed a bit off, though the cast of many (two Avengers teams, the Champions and the FF, not to mention the three major solo-stars) were all handled well, and the writer ably managed crossovers and team-ups, crowd scenes and two-headers.The artwork was a bit to far into the caricature end of the cartoony style for my own liking, but it caught the ‘feel’ of the story and managed to handle everyone well-enough that you know who everyone was, even when they weren’t were wearing many clothes…Also – there wasn’t enough ‘white space’ to make the white space jokes meaningful enough!Look, I’m giving it four stars, what more can I do?
