Weighed up all options before purchasing this set. Like many, I am beginning to gather products to ‘have a go’ at doing my own hair at home, given the present climate😱. I think the fact that my roots are nearly the same length as the bleached and toned ends says I need it desperately done!! So far I have ordered my bleach and developer, (schwarzkopf) £38 from an indépendant site, to take out all the colour, then bought two good quality colour dyes (L’oreal ) on offer at £7 each to put back an all over colour, and purchased this set, £7.99 to help with the project!! So all in all half the price of my normal salon visit. This set appeared to be very good value compared to what looked like some very cheap alternatives. They look and feel quite good quality. I was torn between going for a bigger set, but am reluctant to spend a lot at this time. I don’t want to buy it all and find I’m rubbish at doing it and it turns out awful!! However, I am hoping I will be able to do my hair at least two/three times with the products I’ve bought and therefore it will end up being economical in the long term. Who knows it may be that I will in future instead of pay £156 on cut and colour, I may only have to go for a cut!! So along with having purchased a new clippers for husband and son, I am now sorted as well!!

The brushes are slightly larger size compared to what you get in a box of hair colour that you buy in a supermarket. But the brushes are really sturdy and the bowl is very good quality. The bowl has ml and oz markings. It also has a rubber ring base so sits really well on a table surface.

Excellent deep bowl for mixing large amounts. The brushes feel soft too

A good sturdy kit bought for lockdown. Used bowl and root touch up brush twice and both good value.
