Easy to fit
I have these in my kitchen dining room, which works on a dimmer. These help save electricity, while providing a good quality downlight. Not sure how long they last, as I've only had them in a a day, but they fit my fittings fine.Yes slightly heavier than standard bulb.Easy to twist in and in this period of high energy costs, will reduce my costs slightly by replacing 25w halogens.Light is just as good.

Bright, cool and dimmable
Another room done. I’ve been gradually changing all my GU10 downlighting bulbs over to LEDs. My entire house is riddled with downlighters and changing to different lighting would be too costly so my effort at reducing costs and heat is to change them over to LED bulbs. I bought these as the dining room has a dimmer switch and they work perfectly. These 5W 4000k are a bit brighter than the ones I have in the bedrooms. I really like the daylight feel of the light and with the dimmer, If it gets too much, I can turn it down but I find it easier on my eyes that straining with the yellow type lighting. The £17.99 for 6 bulbs is reasonable by today’s standards and they do tend to last longer than the regular GU10s and they certainly put out less heat. There is always that very slight hesitation between the switch and getting light though which I still find a teeny bit disconcerting but I'm sure I'll get used to it. All in all, they are exactly what I wanted.

Among the better LED GU10s
These arrive in individual plain white boxes packed into a plain brown corrugated box. At least the details (watts, lumens and Kelvin) are clearly printed on the bulbs themselves. They’re good. Instant on, flicker-free and buzz-free. 4000K seems about right, neutral but tending towards a warm yellow. The 370 lumens rating is on the low side for a 5W bulb but it could be that Smart Spring are being honest where others tend to exaggerate. They’re certainly bright, somewhere between 25W and 40W halogens. They’re a couple of mm longer than the halogens I still have in the cupboard, The body is about 50mm long and the pins add another 6mm. The yellow LEDs aren’t visible through the lens, so these look better than many LED GU10s when switched off.Excellent bulbs, then, at a competitive price.

Few milisecond delay between stich and light.
Very blank packaging but its the bulb that counts.Bulbs are very sturdy. Once installed to replace my old 40w bulbs in the kitchen the fitment was fine. The defuser over the top does a good job at defusing the light out to a wide angle.Light colour is of a cooler warm white, works well in the kitchen but don't think I would like it in the living room and would prefer 3000k.One annoyance and not sure if its just that I got a bad batch but instead of being instant on, there is a sight delay from the click on the switch to the bulb being on. Its small but it is noticeable.Think I'll try others next time due to that.

Ideal for photo-sensitive people who still need an overhead work light in the kitchen
I am photosensitive and find overhead spotlight bulbs can be a bit much for me, and therefore only turn on the overhead lights in the kitchen when absolutely necessary, preferring to use ambient under wall unit lights mostly. So I was really pleased to see these GU10 dimmable bulbs, which really meet my needs. The light emits a nice warm light with good light diffusion for no shadow working. They are more expensive than non-dimmable bulbs at £17.99 for six, as you would expect, but worth the extra money for me. Recommended and five stars.

Great bulbs!
these are good quality GU10s with a ceramic surround to dissipate heat and a good quality lens which does not look too ugly when the lights are switched off. There was no flickering when I looked at them through my phones camera. Unfortunately I don't have a dimmer switch so can't say how they hold up dimming but the light was a warmish white slightly warmer than daylight I would say but not as orange as tungsten. They seemed a little longer in the body than a standard GU10 at 56mm long so something to keep in mind. Apart from that the quality looked and felt like the real deal, happy to recommend.

Simply packaged, attractive bulb
These arrived very simply packaged in individual cardboard boxes inside a bigger box. Easy to recycle, so I’m happy with that. The bulbs offer a good amount of light, and are far more attractive than some cheap bulbs I’ve used, both on and off, simply because the lens obscured the actual LED chips.
