It does amplify however the length for the amp must have been fitted for a small person as it pops out of my ear canal because when placing the aid behind the ear it pops out because it is too short! I have tried all the supplied fittings! It takes constantly fooling around with it! I am a 6' man and the reason I pursued it was my hearing aid is in for repairs after I dropped it! My spare aid died after about an hour of use so I needed some amplification and thought this would work out.

Loud enough, but some distortion which makes it hard to understand what is being said. There is a lot of distortion when the sound is coming from a electronic sound system or tv. This distortion may be because of my hearing loss or not. I don't know.

All I hear is static. I worked with it for quite awhile and it still doesn't work.

If you have the volume set so you can hear the TV any noise around you is very loud. If someone near you talks or sneezes it is way to loud

The size and grip or positioning in the ear are fantastic. The individual wearing the device was exceptionally satisfied, requiring the volume to be at a very low number. In comparison to other devices, this amplifier is perfect for the money. In fact, a heck of a deal. Purchased for my grandmother to help her watch TV so everyone else can stand to be in the same room, it helps her hear talking more clearly.
