Don't buy you will get burnt

I like these gloves. Tried them in my 325 degree oven and did not feel any heat. My hands are usually a medium size for most unisex gloves. I have long fingers which do not fill the fingers of these gloves. There is almost 1/2 inch left at the end of each finger. Since this is the first day I will not judge them for stretchy qualities. They were tight at the knuckles but my arthritic hands are lumpy and bumpy in those areas. They are easier to use than the silicone gloves that I purchased before. I can bend my fingers to grip the pan securely which I could not do in the silicone pair.

This glove is a nice glove for the cost. It’s a 2 layer think glove. The thing is, with it being 2 layers, the inner and outer layer aren’t fixed together. When removing the gloves, be sure to grab the glove at the fingertips then pull. If you aren’t careful, the inner liner will stick to your hand and come out. Luckily, I caught it was happening and it didn’t come completely out. It is tuff to get the fingers back in if it happens. Other than this, no complaints.

While these gloves serve the purpose, do not assume that they will work at the temperature indicated for very long. Meaning, think about what you are going to do before grabbing onto the hot element that you are using, or the heat will penetrate the gloves in less than 10 seconds.

Before finding these gloves, I didn’t know that heat resistant gloves of this quality were available. Not only are these fantastic for grilling but they are also incredibly functional for use with your stove top and oven. The gloves are long and extend well up your forearm to help protect against heat or flame when reaching into an oven or grill. They are comfortable and have added grip texture to ensure stability when picking up pans, pots or other hot items unlike traditional potholders. These would also be fantastic to use when building a campfire or fire pit for the perfect summer Smore making evening. I already have several family members and friends in mind to gift pairs of these two for the upcoming holidays.

In the past two decades, I have gone through exactly three Tucker BurnGuard gloves. They're not cheap, but neither are they horribly expensive. Eventually, they wear out, just like anything made of fabric. (Accidentally leaving them out in the sun greatly accelerates that, though.) They have a steam barrier built into them. I have no problem picking up barbecue grates, hot lumps of charcoal, cast iron skillets, or whatever hot thing I need to move without injuring myself.In stark contrast, these cheap gloves are dangerous.These knit fabric gloves with a silicone non-slip surface treatment are comfy. They're also extremely breathable.That is a HORRIBLE thing for supposedly heat resistant gloves.That's about the the only positive thing I can say about them. These gloves are HORRIBLE insulators, especially if you're using them with a heavy Dutch Oven at 500°F for sourdough! Why? THEY COMPRESS INCREDIBLY EASILY. As an added bonus, they also RETAIN HEAT VERY WELL.Cast iron is heavy. The weight of it easily compresses the knit fabric. Insulation works with DISTANCE, so since these gloves allow the blazing hot metal to get close to your skin, and you have about five to ten seconds of time to transfer the Dutch Oven back and forth from the oven to the stove top. Once that time is up, you're very rapidly sinking the heat from the metal into your flesh.If you think they are a more affordable version of BurnGuard gloves, they're not.Do not use these horrible things for any sort of serious burn protection, nor think that these can protect you from anything other than warm items.

I gave tried many pot holders and they all seem to leak heat quickly. I wanted a pair I could unload the try while holding it straight from the 425 degree oven. I have not felt heat through these. They are easy to take on and off. I am able to use tongs while wearing them. I can easily grab any pan and the grips are nice for my heavy cast enamel dutch oven that normal is hard to get a firm grip on. I would gift these to a friend.

I got these gloves because I cook alot and I'm forever losing pot holders. My husband tried them out first, and they were a tad bit too tight, but he has big hands. They fit me perfectly and I dove right in and grabbed my pans out of the oven wearing the gloves. I felt no heat at all and the gloves didn't slip at all either. I sometimes have a problem with pot holders slipping and I can definitely feel heat when just using pot holders. I would recommend these gloves to anyone who cooks. The price is really good also. Very budget friendly. I have used them with cooking every day since I got them.

They fit nice and keep the heat out for brief periods as one would expect so don't expect to hold a coal endlessly. I used them to quickly shuffle coals around when needed and they work fine. The exterior however has melted away and today (after barely 2 months, maybe 20 or so cooks) I burned my finger since the wool started to deteriorate.Buy something better.

Les gants se sont détériorés rapidement (1 mois) avec la manipulation des bûches/tisons sur un feu de foyer. Ok pour four cuisinière mais pas flamme directe (feu de foyer, BBQ)

Quality is ok, maybe I just used them in a way I shouldn't have.The heat gets to your hands fairly quickly. Some of the wool got burned out also from holding the grate.Like I said, I might have just used them incorrectly. If you use them just to move around some pieces of meat, it will be fine.

This product is for every day usage. They are very protective long enough to protect the forearm and they look great.The normal heat from an oven barely can be felt. Easy to slip on and off.

Nous aimons vraiment beaucoup les gants!!! Resiste bien a la chaleur bonne drs mittaine de four mais beaucoup plus facile e manipuler des chose sur le BBQ, je dirait qu'ils sont fait serré pour bien résister a la chaleur alors pour les grosse mains j'imagine que ça ne ferrait pas bien mais pour les plus petite main, sans problème!!! Ils sont vraiment merveilleux
