well made- perfect height
I've had three of these bowls for maybe a year. I just recently bought a fourth for a new addition to the family. The small size is a perfect height for small or short-legged dogs like my pekingese. The pekes with their short snouts had a terrible time eating from bowls on the floor. These pedestal bowls allow them to maintain a more natural posture. They're easy to clean and they've held up very well- no chips, cracks, rust spots, etc. We hand wash the bowls daily and the bases either get hand washed or wiped down with Method all-purpose spray cleaner every few days- they tend to stay pretty clean otherwise. They look as good today as they did the first day I got them.

Poor workmanship - Bowl doesn't fit in base. PIECE OF CRAP!
The style is sleek and modern. The concept is great. The size is big and important. I ordered 2 and opened the first one and thought... this is expensive, but it looks terrific, it is heavy and it is perfect for my dog. When I opened the 2nd one, I didn't realize the label on the bottom was foreshadowing... It said, hand made, everyone is different. Or something to that effect. Well, haha jokes on me. The 2nd one was defective. Whoever made it did an awful job. The top bowl doesn't fit into the base properly. This does not work for a dog to eat out of.Amazon was great. I called the and they sent me a call tag for the return and overnighted another one to me... They where great. The replacement, not so much. This one was defective also. Contacted them again and they are sending out another replacement. I am hoping this works, since I would like matching bowls.I have purchased "fancy" bowls from this company in the past and there where great. The workmanship on this style is inconsistent at best. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. FInd another bowl!

Mother of Boxer
Fabulous Bowl!! My dog loves her new bowl, now she doesn't spit her food out on the floor. Great height for boxers or large breeds they won't have to bend their necks far at all. Love the antique black finish, but my dogs nails scratch it when she is pawing it looking for food. Looks great in my kitchen with my decor. I think I might buy one for outside in the summer time. Great for your dog so they don't have to bend their necks to eat and great for the human to not have to look at an ugly dog food stand.

Great looking
The bowl is great in the kitchen. It goes well with decor but it is not big enough. I'm looking for something similar to put the water in. I have been to all of the stores in the flower pot section too find some for the water. It's okay for the 2 cups of food but not large enough for the Great Pyr's water. I was miss guided by the picture. Settled for the fact that I only received one bowl but really is too small.

Even better than we expected
We were a little hesitant when we pulled these out of the box and realized they were not as heavy as we would have expected them to be. With an 85 pound black lab with lots of energy, we were not sure how well these would do for him. We couldn't have been more pleased with how well they have worked out for us. He happily eats his food and drinks his water out of these bowls and has not knocked them over once. They've even stood up to him locking the last bites of moist food off the sides of the bowl. They are a bit pricy, but they look great in our home and serve the function of raising his food and water bowls like we needed. I would definitely recommend these to dog owners that are looking for raises bowls for their larger dogs... They do their job in style!

DANGEROUS
this item arrived a day earlier than expected. i took them out of the box and when i went back to put them up a sharp edge on the bottom deeply sliced my hand opened, causing me to drop a bowl which shattered into tiny pieces- a shard stabbed me into the top of my foot and had to be removed with tweezers and i had to get stitches. The noise caused all my dogs to come investigate over the broken glass and come in contact with my blood. I had the bowl for like 15 mins and it had never been used so I wasted $31 and now I cant use my hand (i walk dogs as a volunteer at the shelter and we were taking a short brake from building ikea pax when this happened.) more importantly I think even the way the bottoms are more sturdy that a large dog could kick this bowl over and slice their paws or nose up. it was very pretty but should not be sold for pets!

Expensive piece of pottery.
This was a bit pricey for made in China ceramic, I suppose the cost is in the shipping since it's really heavy. I needed a stand that would hold one bowl. Most stands I found held two or three bowls and were made of wood/bamboo. I tried a wood stand and the bowl just rattled around and it looked and felt cheap. I finally found this Unleashed stand and although it was on the expensive side I gave it a shot.I liked everything about this stand except the cheap steel bowl that comes with the stand. The bowl that comes with the Unleashed stand is deep and somewhat narrow and it rattles around when resting in the ceramic stand. I added felt bumpers inside the stand and that helped a bit.I wanted a second bowl to make swapping out dishes easier, but Unleashed was charging way to much for one thin and cheap stainless steel bowl. I found another bowl that fit the Unleashed stand: Americat Company Set of Stainless Steel Cat Bowls ( ASIN: B078WD334Q ). These Americat bowls work great with the Unleashed stand.... the bad part, the Americat bowls cost just as much as the Unleashed stand.Pictured with the review are the Americat bowls and the Unleashed Life High-Rise stand (small size). Siamese cat added for scale.

It's perfect!!
It's perfect for my purposes!! It's heavy enough not to get tipped over or blown away, and far more attractive than any other dish I could have put outside. It's more of a green-tinged grey than the beige in the picture, but that actually works out better for me, as it matches the colour of my fence better. Zero complaints. I love it!!

good weight, not easily tipped
Removable bowl, good weight, not easily tipped. Raises the food and waterabout 2 inches above the floor, which might not be enough for a taller dog,but perfect for our mixed breed shepherd/corgi/terrier/whatever with shorter legs. The dog is quite pleased with his new bowls, and so are we.

Excellent sturdy yet smart bowl
Lovely smart dog bowl, heavy enough not to travel around the kitchen floor by an eager feeding dog. Rubber edge to stainless steel bowl deadens the clanking noise when feeding. Easy to clean and a good height for a large dog. Very pleased.

Beautiful and ergonomic of our dogs
Exactly as shown in photo. Not too heavy, but sturdy for a big dog. Elevated for its comfort and is a great buy.
