Shuffled Sentences Practice Book: For CEM style 11+ Test Preparation

On the surface, this is a helpful book BUT look closer and some of the shuffled sentences aren't complete! See my image for answers 5, 6, and 7 in one of the tests. These sentences either don't have a subject or object, making it impossible to reorder. This really threw my son, who couldn't understand what he was doing wrong. Looking at the answers, this error occurs in other tests, too. Shoddy and inexcusable. Have asked for a refund.

I bought this book for my son to prepare the 11+ exam. He managed did half of the questions . Generally the book is ok ,but find some miss spelling in the book and some of the answers are not make sense that I suggest 2nd Edition to correct it .

A very helpful book which my son has been able to use, little and often, to practise deciphering shuffled sentences. The format of the tests (10 sentences in each test and each test limited to one page) has helped my son to enjoy doing them and improve his skills without feeling overwhelmed. You are able to methodically wok through the book and progress to the more challenging sentences. The answers are also given in a user friendly way which makes marking easy.

My son found this book really user-friendly, it was his 'go-to' book of choice for shuffled sentences. The book has 2 levels. the first is basic sentence forming with the given words and this progresses to Level 2 which introduces the 'odd word' which does not fit into the sentence. The book is a convenient A5, simple layout with answers after each section.Simple and effective.

My child initially found sentence ordering really difficult back in October and took forever! This book was recommended to me and now he understands subjects/subject pronouns etc and can reorder and spot odd-one-out REALLY quickly - quicker than me! This is a very effective book and I highly recommend it!

My daughter has been working through the examples over the past few weeks. Having plenty of examples is proving valuable, as this is one skill where practice really makes all the difference.

Challenging book for preparing for 11+ exams.Perfect for children to practice on and it is helping pick out some areas where we need to concentrate their learning on.

Fantastic book, has really helped my 10 year old practise for his 11+... he really struggled until we bought this.
