...you will after running this well-engineered, power-packed RGB marvel of light.Yep - it's that bright, emits a fantastic (and accurate) color range. With a fat battery and 3-hour run time, it obliterates the life of it's competitors.As for the app, I have to give it 4-4.5 stars. Here's why:1. It's a feature-rich app and, when it's connected, does great things. Being able to connect and synchronize multiple lights is an awesome capability.2. Seems to work better on iPhone. On Android, it can be glitchy. Bluetooth must be on AND location/gps.3. As prior user mentioned, you should be able to turn off the light with the app. As an alternative, I have to slide the CCT brightness to zero to achieve the same result. This means when you turn the light on again, your last setting will be "0", requiring you manually dial up the brightness on the physical unit itself.4. As a prior user mentioned, the app has a circular dial that you slide or rotate, so if you have fat fingers, it's sometimes tricky to dial right into a precise value, e.g., brightness, CCT, Hue, 4200K, etc. Since this light is so precise, the app should be enhanced to (a) put the light in a sleep or 'off' mode, (b) have +/- buttons and/or (c) allow entering custom numeric values.5. On Android, getting it connected the first time can be glitchy. Once you turn it on and follow the instructions, a cryptic "oeLi" will show up under "Available Devices" in your Bluetooth connection list, but when you try to pair, it's unresponsive..or so I thought. In reality it does (or will eventually) pair, but you won't know it since it doesn't say 'Pairing...' or 'Connected...' when you tap it with your finger. You have to then go into the app and check to make sure the app "sees" the bluetooth is enabled (look for the tiny green check mark next to the bluetooth icon in the upper right). This non-standard bluetooth connection behavior is annoying.6. If I leave the AtomCube light on and my phone on, the app will disconnect after 10-20mins (haven't measured the exact duration yet) - as if the app is entering some sort of sleep mode. I was able to work around this by hopping outside the app (not a full app exit, but switching to my Android settings) then toggling the bluetooth on/off, at which point the app wakes back up and re-recognizes the light.Most users will expect an app to stay open AND connected until the app is shut down completely, regardless of how long the app or user is idle. You should be able to set the color configs and the app stays open indefinitely.7. Related to #6, once the app is idle, if you switch to it, the same splash screen shows as if you're launching it the first time. No need for that. If I don't touch my phone for 30 minutes, when I return to the app, it should show the app and the last screen i was on... not the splash screen. When I do see the splash screen I then know I have to toggle my bluetooth on/off to 'wake up' the connection. I shouldn't have to get used to this suboptimal workflow. Just fix the app.

I checked out many YouTube reviews of these LED color lights, especially the little ones like this and compared the features of each on Amazon. I purchased the AtomCUBE RX1 and I am very happy with it! The iPhone app with bluetooth control is an extra nice touch AND that you can connect several of these with clamps they make/sell to turn, let's say, 4 of them into one BIG light. Added the fact you can control each light's color and other features individually without getting off the chair, well, I can't imagine why someone would not buy this one! It has a pretty good hefty weight to it and feels like a rock-solid product. I purchased one and after trying all the features and functions I knew within 15 minutes I'm going to get 3 more of these in a just a few weeks. They DO make a white diffuser/soft-light cover which feels like it's made of silicone and stretches easily over the light (and actually ends up being about 4-6 mm (1/4 inch) off or away from the face of the lights. Next I'll order the special brackets that allow me to attached 3 more to make a super light (4) or 2 sets of 2 (2 lights connected together to make one light, and do the same with the other two). If you're going to be super-picky and difficult to please, I don't know what to tell you; if you're using this for YouTube Video (and Facebook and LinkedIn) it will truly and fully do the job right and well. As a side note, while I'm using the one I purchased, I think have 2 of them makes the most sense for more options and coverage for lights and color combinations. KVM makes a big light for stronger colors and bigger coverage for around $250 (approx), but that's a big light with a stand (that's on my shopping list!), but I started with the AtomCUBE because the easy of being mobile is what I think is more important for now. With the KVM + AtomCUBE, you'll be excited what options you will have making your videos, especially when it comes to making color backgrounds and color highlights. Start with this one. Get another. The media could not be loaded.  I absolutely love this light! As a DoP I own a lot of lights. And most of them are very high end around thousands. So let me tell you why I love this light so much.1) This pocket-sized RGBCW LED light produces very good quality light. It is tested very high in accuracy and you’ll see that as soon as you turn it on.2) This little guy will surprise you with just how much light you get. It is very bright for a light at this size.3) This feature packed light has some really cool effects. Light everyone’s favorite the police lights. It’s also go TV, Lightening, Fire, including candle flames. And some groovy color cycles for party effects4) Ok, something that matters a lot to me. Design and built quality. This light is, IS, the best in built quality compared to any other pocket light at this level. It’s SOLID metal material and can definitely take a beating. And lastly, design. It is the sexiest light you’ll ever own. It’s beautifully designed with modularity in mind.5) Usability is huge it’s definitely up there because we know that there are a ton of lights in the market, and many offer a lot of features and effects like this one. But often times, they are not so easy to use. Well, this light is extremely easy to use AND the app works 100% of the time.It doesn’t require WiFi to connect or some kind of code. It connects to my iPhone within seconds once I turn the power switch on and that’s it!6) Accessories are important. Personally I’ve gotten the diffuser and the honeycomb grid and they work very well. Now that I’ve gotten 2 of these lights I’ve ordered the magic cube connectors.
