Dimensions of two I have are: Tip of bulb to pin base = 3.38 inches; Tip of bulb to tip of pins = 4.0 inches; Overall tip of bulb to end of plug-in = 4.7 inches: Base dimension is 1.35 X 1.35 inches. These dimensions are as measured with a Vernier caliper.Hope this helps.

No I do not believe so we put the one we purchased in a bathroom fan light was not dimmable
