The towel is lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of room in my RV. It is absorbent. That's the good. The not so good is the fact that I could wrap them around my body twice and still have towel to spare. And I think the price is out of line with what the towel is. If I had it to do over again, I would buy the regular bath towels and not the bath sheets. I guess I should have looked at the dimensions closer.I do recommend the product if you are looking for an absorbent towel that can fit in a small area.

BBW’s y’all will LOVE these towels! I’m a size 16US and daughter is around a 4X. These towels wrap neatly all around us. They dry you off much faster than any other towels. My husband is a very hairy man and he loves these towels as well. On a side note, they dry faster in the dryer too. Overall, we have loved these towels and gone back and ordered more.

I LOVE these towels. A lot. So why the four stars? I'm knocking one star off for price, but if these towels go the distance (more than a few months of daily washing without becoming less absorbent or frayed) I will absolutely up my review to five stars.I'm a big fan of thin towels, but they also have to be absorbent. I have tried "waffle weave" towels before, the ones with the loft/terry on the grid, but after a while the absorbency disappears and the loft goes out of the towel and the towels are basically just flat pieces of cloth.These Gilden Tree towels are completely different. There is NO LOFT or TERRY anywhere on these towels- NO LOOPS. When you get them they are super flat, pretty much the thickness of a common dishtowel. I was really concerned when I pulled them out of the package (and they were wrapped in thin plastic, too- no nice presentation in a laundry bag or recyclable packaging, which was a disappointment, considering the price) and they were just like extra thick bed sheets.But then I threw them in the wash (twice) and the towels basically shrunk and curled up, creating the waffle texture. It's kind of like what happens to one of those magic sponge cloths where they come flat like a piece of paper, and once you wet them they grow. The thing is, when you dry these towels, they remain a little more plush and fluffy (and the edges curl/ripple, too- so if you are a stickler about your towels being folded and on the shelf with crisp edges, these will make you crazy.)After that wash/dry, these towels became instant favorites. They are super absorbent, quicker to dry, stay white in the wash, and they don't have that cheap feel like most other thin towels I have purchased. If these last I will replace all my other bathroom and pool linens with them- it will be worth the huge investment.One note- they are NOT soft. If you want a comfy, plushy, soft experience against your skin, these are not for you. But if you are looking for a thinner towels that absorbs and feels good and dry and light against the skin- never heavy and damp even after you've draped it on your after a shower- these are for you.Highly recommended, but that price (and the packaging...)

I just returned from a trip to Italy and absolutely loved the waffle weave bath sheets used at a resort where I had vacationed. I couldn't find the brand they had in Italy, so after doing some online searches I settled for this brand by Gilden. I wanted ex-large 100 percent cotton bath sheets. A lot of complaints in the reviews about these were about shrinkage and roughness. The information given with these towels do explain about the shrinking and the change in texture. As soon as I received my towels, I put only one of them in the wash with warm water and used a small amount of baking soda instead of vinegar as given in the instructions. I then put it in the dryer (low heat) for about 10 min and then hung up to finish drying. Then I placed it back in the dryer (no heat) to fluff for 5-10 min. My towel came out soft without wrinkles and when I compared it to the unwashed towel the measurement came out to be 38"x74". So, it does shrink a bit length wise but not too much in the width. Which I imagine is why they start out so large(40x80) to begin with. And as far as the roughness mentioned in some reviews, I imagine that's mostly from folks who love their towels super soft like when you use softener in the rinse. I for one do not like that feeling as it leaves the towels unable to absorb water and moisture when using right out of the shower. Also, you have to remember that these are waffle towels, and you will get more of a waffle look after the very first wash. Overall, I absolutely LOVE my towels! So much so that I'm ordering more for Christmas gifts. Hope my review helps anyone who may be on the fence (as I was) with this brand.

Absolutely loving these I bought 2 pack as a deal and they are so long they go around comfortably my plus size and then tie easily .They are light not too warm as I live in hot and humid climate these are perfect as they are light and dry quickly .Not supper absorbent like a regular towel but for summer so necessary .Love the colour !

Very absorbent and quick drying but the texture is a little rough. Good option but probably better options for less

From a woman with Rheumatoid arthritis, these towels are a pleasure to carry, fold & hang! They are very lightweight but boy are they absorbent! We have never felt drier after towelling off! They washed up beautifully too! Don’t forget to add the 1/2 cup vinegar in the first wash and there is no need for fabric softener, that will ruin them. Very happy with my purchase and I will be replacing all of my towels with these!

I'm so glad I bought these, wish I had seen these sooner. Love the oversize 40 x 80 inches. I followed the instructions and washed in vinegar and a bit of soap before using. They did shrink up a bit as stated, but still ample sizing. They wrap around a large frame with extra material to tuck in so it stays on while I sit at the Vanity after a shower doing my make up and hair. Also, they do not take up much space. I bought a set for my son and Fiancée for Xmas as well. They are expensive but worth it.

The towel is very thin and not very absorbent. Not soft. Feels like using 1 ply toilet paper.Only thing I liked was the size.
