Detox Tea (Rooibos-Lemongrass)

Please see my edits at the end of my review.I've been trying to lose weight (unsuccessfully) for more than 10 years. In fact, instead of losing weight, I put on 50 lbs. over those 10 years! It didn't matter what I did as far as dieting and exercising, the pounds kept piling on. This detox tea was my last ditch effort, but I didn't really expect anything. In fact, I was trying it more to detox my body to feel healthier than to lose weight.First off, the taste of this tea (Rosehip - Hibiscus) was wonderful -- much better than I expected. Second, I don't know if it was the sweet flavor of the tea or the properties of the tea, but I stopped craving sweets and fried foods. Or maybe it was the healthy diet that Chef Jeff provides with this tea. In any case, coupled with the diet, during the first week on this tea, I dropped 4 lbs. And I didn't EVER feel hungry! I was eating real food, whenever I was hungry, and I was losing weight. After I finished the week on this detox tea, I switched to Chef Jeff's diet tea, and while the weight slowed down (about a pound every 2-4 days), I'm still losing weight. It's been 3 weeks and 4 days since I've started the detox/diet combo, and I've lost 8.5 pounds -- and I'm still losing weight. I've still got 80 lbs. to go, but for the first time in more than 10 years, I honestly believe I've got a chance. Oh, and how this has made me feel? Absolutely no detox symptoms (nausea or diarrhea at all), and I feel GREAT! Better than I've felt in years. In case you haven't noticed (if you've read this far), I'm VERY excited about this tea :-DWhen I first tried this tea, the only one available was the Rosehip + Hibiscus flavor. Now they've got two more flavors, and I've already purchased both of them. After I try the other two flavors, I'll update with my favorite.=====================EDIT 7/10/2015: I've tried the peppermint-berry and the rooibos-lemongrass tea. The peppermint-berry flavor is okay, but I still like the rosehip - hibiscus. flavor best. I will drink the peppermint-berry flavor during the summer because of the cooling effect of the peppermint. I don't like the roobos - lemongrass flavor at all. I'll continue to use that flavor jar, just because I hate to waste anything, but I won't be buying it any more. That's one think I love about My Diet Chef... he gives us choices, so we can have what we like best and still get healthy.=====================EDIT 12/7/2015: I've been drinking this tea daily since June 7, 2015. I've lost more than 30 pounds! That's a bit more than a pound a week. I feel better (and younger) than I have in years!=====================

I have been drinking this tea for 4 days now. I also started a low carb diet 11 days ago. I have lost 10lbs but I am not sure which had a greater affect. I CAN tell you that this tea has a very tasty and potent flavor, and to me, just the smell of is is therapeutic. I hear that low carb doets cause constipation and I have had zero trouble with that, in fact, I go more than once before I leave the house in the morning for work, so I know this tea is working in that respect. I drink it both hot and cold, and I add some splenda to it. I love it. I will update my review after the 7 days are up. But so far, definitely worth the money.

Product tastes good but did not arrive with detox diet plan. I was 2 days into it before I found the detox diet to go with it plus it didn't clean me out a bit like I thought it would. It was just like drinking any ordinary tea in my opinion

I had my first glass of this tea today, and it tastes amazing and smells just as good. I will take it for the the entire 7 days and then update on how I feel after.

Another super tea from Chef Jeff! Great for this holiday time of year when we need to balance out the "excess" goodies. I feel good about drinking it and it helps me to eat "clean" by keeping me in a health oriented state of mind. I go back and forth between the Pure Health Slimming tea and this one ... but the Slimming tea is my FAVORITE. Thanks, Chef Jeff!

No date , nothing. What is its 10 years old???

The seller stands completely by his product. After I posted a bad review he contacted me and sent me not one but three replacement teas, one in each flavor (note: please don't try complaining just to try and get free samples!). These were in the new packaging and the product was fresh. After using the teas for several weeks I like them a lot. Now I'm a very satisfied customer.My original review, which was accurate when I wrote it:Ordered this for the price and because it comes with an informational PDF with purchase. But he package came in with a scotch tape to cover a big hole in the bag. The product looks old and dry, and the rest of the green package looks like it sat on storage for some five years. I returned it upon receipt. It looked that awful! Forget the "blowout sale," I'd rather pay full price for a fresh product.

This tea is just ok. I think the problem I had with this specific one is that I cant stand the taste so I couldn't take it as expected. I wouldn't be opposed to trying this tea again but with a different flavor. I just couldn't get this particular one down.
