It's a predator eat predator world for the Were-Hunters. Danger haunts any given day. There is no one to trust. No one to love. Not if they want to liveโฆ An orphan with no clan that will claim him, Wren Tigarian grew to adulthood under the close scrutiny and mistrust of those around him. A forbidden blend of two animalsโsnow leopard and white tigerโWren has never listened to anyone when there was something he wanted. Now he wants Marguerite. Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau is the daughter of a prominent U.S. Senator who hates the socialite life she's forced to live. Like her mother before her, she has strong Cajun roots that her father doesn't understand. Still, she has no choice but to try and conform to a world where she feels like an outsider. But the world of rich and powerful humans is never to meet the world of the Were-Hunters who exist side by side with them, unseen, unknown, undetected. To break this law is to call down a wrath of the highest order. In order to have Marguerite, Wren must fight not just the humans who will never accept his animal nature, but the Were-Hunters who want him dead for endangering their world. It's a race against time and magic without boundary that could cost Marguerite and Wren not just their lives, but their very soulsโฆ Review: great summer read - As with all her Dark Hunters series this one is great read - the characters are like old friends- you love hearing about them- good stories and enough twists to keep your interest Review: Fabulous! - Accompanied by her study group, Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau steps into Sanctuary with the sole purpose of exploring the old haunt of her deceased friend, Nick. She misses her best friend horribly and feels a connection to him as she sits and surveys the dangerous looking bar. While taking in her surroundings, Marguerite feels the weight of a heavy stare, and soon realizes it comes from the unkempt man who is placidly bussing tables. For unexplainable reasons, she is somewhat fascinated and feels herself drawn to this man, who seems so far removed from everything, and everyone, around him. Wren Tigarian has merely existed since his childhood. Being a Were-Hunter crossbreed of snow leopard and white tiger, Wren has been rejected by every person around him his entire life. He lives and works at a bar called Sanctuary, owned by the Peltier family, and more importantly, located on neutral ground. Though they are an unlikely match up of were and "society child", Wren and Marguerite soon work together to uncover secrets of Wren's past; secrets that some would gladly kill to keep from being discovered. Do I expect a fascinating and absorbing read from Ms. Kenyon's Dark Hunter series? Absolutely! She has a talented gift of including action, sensuality, tragedy and humor in her stories that keep me coming back for more. For this reason alone, Ms. Kenyon holds a position at the top of my "auto-buy" list. When I picked up Unleash the Night, I was filled with eager anticipation. I'm happy to say that I truly could not put it down, and pretty much ignored everyone around me while I was engrossed in the story. The Tigard, Wren, is portrayed as strong and deadly, yet his awful past creates a heartbreaking vulnerability. This beguiling combination had me shivering in lust one moment, and aching with sympathy the next. Marguerite is also very likeable, if a little flat. However, I was more than willing to let pass her implausible reactions to situations that cropped up simply because of my overall enjoyment of the story. While not fire-poker hot, there was a smooth sensual chemistry between Marguerite and Wren. Admittedly, Unleash the Night was not as fully developed as other stories in the Dark Hunter series. And there were some questions that were raised, such as: What happened to nice old Mama Lo Peltier? However, I rather see this story as a foundation of new things to come. While Acheron was sadly absent, the introduction of Savitar makes me think that he is destined to become quite a powerful player in the Dark series; at least once the multitude of Acheron fans finally have their request of receiving Ash's book granted. All in all, Unleash the Night is a fun and fabulous read! I highly recommend it and will happily continue to watch for anything that Sherrilyn Kenyon offers! Jolie Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Wonderful story, One of my favorites.
So I totally feel in love with this book, wonderful. This one is really one of my favorites of the series. Why? Well Wren truly made his place in my heart as I started reading. He was shy, quiet and drawn from others. Something just cried for him to be loved and Maggie is a wonderful match for him. They are both connected to Nick and it just was a great story. I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 because of a few reasons *** Dont read if you don't want a spoiler *** The beginning was great, but then it seem to start getting rushed. The plot behind it was great, Maman bear had her reasons to put Wren out but then she just gave up but to me it felt like the author said "Eh I need to cut this book soon" Then Maggie and Wren were not truly to be mates till a "god" gave them a gift of it ... that was disappointing to me. But the story itself was a beautiful story of Wren coming to trust Maggie and loving her, as a man that has been abused and betrayed. I loved it and it is a favorite.

Meant to Be
I read this book when it originally came out and several other times and it is still one of my favorite Dark Hunter books. Maggie and Wren are just a really special couple that you can't help routing for.

Wonderful story
I started reading the Dark Hunter series years ago, and when I get a gift card to an ebook retailer, this is one of the first ones I go for. I love the world of the dark hunters, or the Arcadians and the Katagaria. Unleash the Night is the story of Wren Tigarian and Maggie Goudeau. Wren is a one of a kind Katagaria, a hybrid between a tiger and a leopard. He can take human form, but his natural state is that of an animal. I love Wren. He strong and beautiful, though heโs been an outcast his whole life. His parents despised him, and even the people who are honor bound to provide him a safe place to leave canโt stand him. Itโs gotten to the point where he believes heโs as awful as everyone says he is, and yet he perseveres, day by day, somehow managing to retain a good heart. Maggie is the wealthy, pampered daughter of a US Senator. She doesnโt like her life, though, and doesnโt share her friendsโ snobby attitudes or better-than-everyone-else outlooks. Sheโs told what to do, where to go, how to act, and follows along only because she loves her father and wants him to love her, too. When Maggie meets Wren, everything changes. She draws him out of his anti-social shell (but only her), and he unwittingly teaches her to stand up for herself and what SHE wants. Wonderful story, developed superbly, with great feels. Plus we get to see some well-loved characters from previous (and future books). I havenโt read the series in order, but since each book progresses the series storyline, Iโd recommended starting at book 1 and going from there if you can. This is a series Iโll re-read over and over again.

White Tigers!
The Story Wren's parents killed each other 20 years ago. He has since worked and lived at Sanctuary. Nicollete, the mother of the bear family that owns sanctuary, is warry of the tiger/snow leopard. Wren never talks to anyone, keeps to himself and the shadows. Then one day a group of preppy rich kids come into the bar. Wren can't keep his eyes off Maggie, and vica versa. The others in the group make fun of him and one throws a beer in his face, it takes two other were-hunters to hold Wren back from the jerk. Maggie stays to apologize to Wren. On her way home she is attacked, Wren senses it and goes to help. In the process he is injured, Maggie keeps coming back to see him she can't help herself. Wren also seeks her out, as his affection grows so does Nicollette's weariness of him. Wrens cousin and uncle accuse Wren of killing his parents, they want control of the company and money Wren has. There is a death order issued on Wren, he goes to Maggie for help. Together they go on a trip to seek the truth. Thoughts This is in my top 5 favorite darkhunter books! I love Wren and his story. He finds himself and confidence in his love for Maggie. She learns to be herself and not be what her father wants. The characters are vivid, believable, relatable and complicated. The pace is very fast and intriguing enough to keep my attention. I read this all in one sitting again. I'm re-reading this series. My heart aches for what Wren had to go through, but he got his happily ever after in the end. The different plots are weaved together beautifully and the emotion comes off the pages quite well.

I love Wren & Maggie!
Wren & Maggie's story is one of my favorites in this series! I ache for the things Wren has suffered in his life & the way he's treated, even by ppl who are supposed to be his Sanctuary. He does have friends, tho even they are wary of him. And he had Nick... Oh, NICK! *sob* Maggie also had a friend in Nick, and that's the connection that brings her into Wren's orbit. They are instantly drawn to one another, tho neither really can pinpoint why. Their story is fast-paced, full of an adventure that is always fun for me to read! Their love transcends the Fates... And I absolutely adore how their HEA comes about!! We get to see the Omegrion, where serious stuff happens, but also serious BANTER happens with Dante, Vane, Fury, Fang... Oh, I just love the banter! And Savitar's grumpy butt - he thinks he doesn't have a heart, he always has "excuses" for the good he does, but his heart is one of the biggest in the series. And I hope that one day the author is able to give us his HEA. Wren & Maggie have some of the best steam, also. I mean, bring out the fans! Their hearts are made for each other, and their protectiveness toward one another is the thing swoony dreams are made of for me. : )

Loving Rereads!
Unleash the Night is actually one of the first of Sherrilyn Kenyon's novels that I read when I was much younger! Read is such a mild word I should say that I devoured it! I loved it when I devoured it the first time and I still love it now! When I was first introduced to the magical universe of Dark-Hunters, Were-Hunters, and Dream-Hunters I instantly fell in love with it! And I devoured every Dark-Hunter and Were-Hunter novel that I could find in stores! To my eternal sorrow it was slim pickings! Until I got my kindle then it was like a entire new world opened up before my very eyes! I now have access to way more of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter, Were-Hunter, and Dream-Hunter novels! I do not have anything special to say about Unleash the Night other than that Maggie and Wren's story pull the most at me! Because at the beginning of their story they are true orphans of the world and by the end they find true family, true love, and true happiness!
