Great Resource for a Beginner
What an exceptional beginner's guide! The only criticism I have is that it's almost TOO much of a beginner's guide; I feel like it could have been a little more technical or in-depth in some places. Regardless, I can't recommend it enough if, like me, you're interested in exploring hydroponic gardening as a hobby. It's very clear and easy to understand, and while it doesn't go too in-depth, it covers EVERYTHING you need to know to initially get started. I'm really looking forward to putting this new knowledge into practice and have already started ordering supplies.

A how to guide for hydroponics
This is a great beginners guide to the art of hydroponics and the best ways to begin growing your own fruits and vegetables. This book will take you step by step through the process of setting up and growing delicious fruits and vegetables in the comfort of your own home. These are not only healthy but also pesticide and chemical free. This guide contains everything you need to begin your venture into a fresh and healthy life of hydroponic plants. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a healthy alternative to spending unnecessary time prowling the aisles of the produce racks in the grocery store. Perfect for even the blackest of thumbs
Being completely honest here, up until very recently I was known as the person with a black thumb. I’d killed a cactus. Seriously. But I kept seeing friends who used hydroponics to grow their self-sustaining gardens and had incredible vegetables and I was intrigued. One of them recommended this book, “Hydroponics: A Beginner’s Guide to Building Your Own Hydroponic Garden” by Tom Gordon, and I am glad I listened. I haven’t seen the results of my budding garden yet, but I understand the science behind the system because Gordon explained it in an easy to understand, follow, and implement way. Since I live in Florida, I had to choose the system that works best for the harsh, often dry climate down here and it’s going to take a while to see the results, but now that I know what I’m doing, I know what to look for and I’m not afraid of my backyard. In fact, I’m enjoying the daily tending that I get to do.

Disappointing
I was expecting a larger format book with slick paper and color photos with some sort of creative graphic design... wrong. The book format is 5" x 8", 156 pages printed on pulp paper. The content appeared to be well researched but I got the impression the author compiled the text by doing online research...it was a pretty boring read in my opinion. I didn't get much out of it andI was disappointed ... I would not recommend this book to anybody.

You've Got to be Kidding Me.....
No real info, helpful images or charts. Looks like it was written from watching youtube videos. Can I give a 0 star?

Deeply disappointed
Deeply disappointed. No info what-so-ever on the system shown on cover. Few tiny pictures on a couple others. Imagine plans to construct a rocking chair with only text - no pictures. Perhaps I can find a useful book

A little too brief to get started in hydroponic gardening
A pleasant, easy to read primer on hydroponic gardening, but is too brief in detail to actually serve as a beginner’s manual.

Do not waste your money
Not for beginners. Don't waste your time. The information is too basic and the author repeats how good hydroponics is too many times. There are no nutrient balances or references to specific plants. The figures have a low quality. Better see videos on YouTube.
