When are you going to get an entire symphony orchestra to accompany you?
I've seen people whine about timing etc, but when are you going to get an entire symphony orchestra to accompany you? Here is the experience of a lifetime and all you have to do is what the soloist does on the complete track (good luck with that!).It's much more difficult to match others playing (particularly a whole orchestra) than with your own "rubato". This production helps you "get real" with music and play with others. If you've got a iPad or iPhone you can even perform your production with the orchestra and enjoy (or criticize) the performance.Get the entire series and appreciate the depth of Artur Rubenstein and Sviatoslav Richter who could play all of these pieces from memory at their performance peak. Try the slow performance for practice and when you're up to speed, match the full speed performance. As a veteran classical and self instructed rock/folk performer here is a chance to use both learning methods to improve your skill. Classical performers learn by rigourous training, most rock/folk performers learn by listening and performing. You won't be disappointed with this (and others in this series) if you are a true musician (and not a whining critic).

Two Stars
Very hard to follow because there is a lot of unaccompanied piano, which means empty bars in the CD

Good book
It is good enough for piano player practice at home. This book is a good help for piano player who is looking for Concerto.

nice practice tool
This is a useful practice tool when a second piano/pianist is not available. The many individual rehearsal tracks are helpful for practicing specific sections without having to restart an entire movement. It is nice to have the sounds of a real orchestra as accompaniment.

music minus one
very good but far too expensive and the complete version with a pianist totally unnecessary as we already had a disc of this
