I love this Trumpty book and I truly needed it now! Michael Luzzi’s rhymes capture the absurdity of the Trump administration with unbridled candor and hilarity. The writer's choice of nursery rhymes as a format for this parody seems eminently appropriate. They echo the jostling, name calling, impulsive outbursts and gamesmanship of the White House as if they were taking place on a noisy, unruly playground. The illustrations are just as much fun as they are faithful to the cause -- realistic, scrappy, full of agitated energy.These poems help me to vent and beg to be read aloud to others. In this upside down world of Trumpdom, the rhythms of poems and songs I grew up with (“I’m a Little Teapot” as “I’m an Orange Crackpot”, “Baa Baa Black Sheep” as “Baa Baa Donald”, “Itsy Bitsy Spider” as “Itsy Bitsy Betsy” etc.) are also somehow comforting. All is not lost! In these brilliant nuggets of satire we get to chant about our rage and let Luzzi's humor revitalize our resolve.I want to give this Trumpty Dumpty book to everyone I know who has attended marches and meetings with me, made phone calls and written countless postcards and emails. We need to act and laugh together! Thank you, Michael Luzzi, for doing your part to lift our spirits and lend your creative energy to the work ahead!

Parody and SatireParody and satire are two words that are often confused. The difference between the two terms is very complex. It can sometimes be hard to make a distinction, as Satire and Parody are both related to humor.A prime example of this disparity between the two is Michael Luzzi’s brilliant political treatise…”Trumpty Dumpty.”As his parody is a mimicry of an established concept, idea, or a person and satire, as in the crazy political world we find ourselves presently immersed in… many notions are spoken in hilarity & humor with resounding result.Satire can be said to be more subtle, which involves mockery but without mimicry. Parody on the other hand is just mimicry, only reflecting the actual subjects.One of the major differences that can be noted between a parody and satire is with regard to their goals. Luzzi searches through Trumpty Dumpty to impart different roles in society. In seamless prose, Luzzi puts into print all the absurdities of a difficult time in US history, and much like the original Humpty Dumpty, leads us to muse on our limitations to fathom the unfathomable. Hurray for this timely tome! Helps me to keep a sense of balance, and tickles my funny bone. I am grateful for the chuckles and the superb illustrations. Have recommended it to all my friends!

Trumpty Dumpty: A Parody Is On The Loose is just another example of the amazing writing talents of Michael Luzzi. I have had the privilege of reading many of Luzzi's poems throughout the years. They are always thoughtful, engaging and prevalent to the times. Considering this, many of the poems have had to deal with loss and tragedy. This book is refreshing since it covers poems that are serious in nature but with a hysterically comedic flair. I highly recommend it to everyone who is currently dissatisfied with our current political leadership and is looking for one way to "laugh" it off.

A fantastic parody that is very appropriate to the times we live in. A must read for both students of parody and the general public.

Trumpty Dumpty is a fun book.Of current politics it gives us a look.The author is clever with his cutting rhymes,That aptly describe these most troubling times!

It's funny, prescient and light. Perfect.

This is so funny ! If the USA wasn't such a mess thanks to the little person in charge I could laugh forever. Too bad the entire globe no longer looks at America the way it use too, he has changed our view.
