Review: The smell is not a problem - This is absolutely gorgeous, the inside pages feel nice and easy to write on, as well as being artificially aged to add tot he fantasy-esque theme to the journal. The pen is a nice, simple ball point pen that matches the coloring of the journal and overall, a fantastic gift or item for someone who loves to write. A lot of reviews on here complain about a bad smell from the journal but rest assured, they probably have over sensitive noses. There is definitely a smell from the book but it is VERY faint and is an ordinary fresh paint smell as these journals are handmade and this is to be expected. Open the packaging and let it air out for a few hours max and the smell will be gone. Really wonderful product overall.

**Q: Why is this in the description if it's not refillable? Easy to carry journal notebook contains an A5 refill with 100 sheets (200 pages).**
A: It’s a bound journal. You can’t add or replace pages.

**Q: Does this easily lay flat while writing?  I hate fighting a stiff spine that may be damaged with heavy use.**
A: Yes it does I have one I was hesitant with getting it because of the smell thing everyone was talkin about but I was going to rub essential oils on it since they’re strong but mine didn’t smell and the book is dope and very sturdy

**Q: What is the gsm of the paper?**
A: I don't know, but it's nice paper, pretty thick. I hope the video helps.

**Q: Why offer next day shipping if it doesn't even ship on time? I was supposed to have it by 9 tonight but it was never shipped out.**
A: With the COVID situation we all need to have patience and realize that 2 day shipping isn't a guarantee anymore. Frustrating, but unfortunately the reality that we are dealing with now.
