Very disappointed that the wall jack is only 12 AWG and not like the 10 AWG that the MC4 cable is and the only thing list in the title of this posting on Amazon. I am going to have to return it since my design is entering based on the lack of lost with 10 AWG cabling which is why I ordered the 10 AWG MC4 to SAE cable for a RV solar charging application. Also noted in other reviews the polarity of the MC4 to SAE cable is the opposite of the walled undersized SAE connector so you would've a short if you used them. They give you a polarity switching connector to add, but why not make them compatible to begin with and something else to loose.

The SAE Socket Sidewall Port I received has the RED & BLACK WIRES "R E V E R S E D". Had I connected it as indicated, I would have shorted out a LOT of expensive equipment and even possibly started a F I R E !!! Examine it carefully before connecting to your system!

I originally bought and installed this product to provide a quick connect for a 200W Renogy suitcase to our RV and it worked great. However, I didn't like the portable panels and opted to install fixed panels on the roof. The product worked great for that as well.

Product title claims 10AWG wire. Read the fine print! The Solar MC4 cable is 10AWG, the wire on the SAE Socket is 12AWG. Disappointed. Would not have purchased the package as I wanted 10AWG for both items.

We are 100% solar. We go this to keep charge on our RV batteries
