Two years ago I decided to became a vegetarian and it was so tough because I thought, "what do I eat now"? Which looking back now I realize what a stupid question with all the fruits, vegetables and legumes that are available. I still wanted more variety and when I came across a spiralizer I loved being able to have veggies in a fun and creative way. My niece has now made the same decision as I did two years ago after she saw me lose weight (42 lbs.) and is now a vegetarian and reached out to me for help. So one of the first things that came to mind was a spiralizer (which I already owned a different version) and went to Amazon to search for one for her. I found this one and thought it looked better than mine! lol, So, I ordered two so I can have one as well. I received it yesterday and as always I had zucchini one hand and gave it a try for spaghetti last night. It is so much better then the one I had before and I love the brush that comes with it for easy clean up. The zoodles came out beautifully and it was a yummy dinner. If anyone else I know and love decides to get healthier I will be back to buy them one of these incredible little gadgets! I snagged this spiralizer when there was a great deal on it. I thought that it was going to be fairly poor quality and just wanted to see why everyone had been raving about zucchini/squash noodles. When it came in, I immediately used it and was so happy. It works great!PROS:-easy to use-- just put the food in and twist-compact-- easy to store and doesn't take up space in my kitchen, it's just a little bigger than my hand- comes with a brush to help you clean--without the brush, it'd be so difficult for me to get it cleanCONS:- doesn't spiralize the whole vegetable--I'm always left with a inch/inch and a half of vegetable left over because I can no longer get a good grip and twist. I'm not putting my fingers near the blades. It comes with a black top (in the picture) that you're supposed to be able to stick into the vegetable and use that to twist, but mine hasn't worked and stuck into the vegetable.-time-- I'm cooking for one, so this is perfect. If you planned to use this often and make large amounts, you may prefer a more professional style spiralizer.I love mine and you'll love it too!

The risk of cutting yourself is great. The plastic but that they provide to use and keep your hand away from the really sharp blades is useless and doesn't hold carrots or celery. Zucchini is too soft and doesn't spiralize. In fact, must of the veggies I wanted to use with it were too soft or too hard and I basically could only use it with carrots.

This vegetable spiral slicer is a unique way to prepare fresh vegetables. They may look strange as they come through the spiral slicer. They are crisp and fresh and ready to steam or the way I like best is to use them like pasta. I don't cook them I pour hot homemade spaghetti sauce over them, let the sauce warm the veggies and after it has cooled some just dig into a delicious main course.

I had high hopes for this based on reviews. I haven't used it beyond the first time. It took a significant amount of energy and force to get the veggies to "spiralize." This isn't the case with heavy-duty spiralizers I've used. Good deal but not worth the effort.

It's the only one of these I have used.. but the veggies have to be just the right size for it to work well. It worked great on Zuccinni... haven't got it to work very well on Carrots.

This product is ok. I wouldn't suggest it for people whom have difficulty using there hands. It works well with zuccini but not for anything else. Next time I would try the table spiral slicer instead.

I wish I had tried this earlier but now the return window has passed. I had high hopes for this item, but I was sick and in the hospital shortly after I order it and now I'm able to be back in the kitchen I tried it and it's horrible!!!. Total waste of money. I wanted to make the carrot spirals for a dish I was making and I couldnt get even 1 spiral, I had to just use my julienne equipment and got better results. All I got was chunks of carrots from this junk.
