I wanted to update: now that the pd toolkit is available the book is much more useful. They gave me a full 12 month access as soon as it became available. I owned the previous edition of this book, which is fabulous. I purchased the new edition mainly for access to the online toolkit. When I logged in with my access code it took me to the toolkit for the Words Their Way edition that is not for ELLs. WHile I used it it does not match any of the activities listed in the book. In the previous edition there were word lists and templates in the back of the book, in this edition you must access them online, but they are not available. I worked with Pearson support for a year and still have not gotten access.
