1.7 Stars for this Chimeless Clock (4819N)
I don't like ads that lie even if an answer about the product can be found in the reviews/comments. The ad for this product lied by claiming there are 8 separate alarms (chimes). The only alarm sound is: beep, beep, beep, pause, beep, beep, beep, pause, etc. So, I didn't rate it beyond 2 stars. Why not one star? Well, it does have some value: I like the temperature indicator even though, if you have it set to celsius, it displays "F" instead of "C" because the "F" light is hardwired to the clock face. The numerical degrees in celsius or fahrenheit are accurate. Though it doesn't have the 8 separate alarm chimes, you can set the alarm for up to 16 different times during a single day. The manual buttons on the back of the clock are not convenient but the remote control is easy to use despite the small, single-page instructions which seem written by a person whose second language is English. The red power button on the remote is not functional in case you hope you could turn the clock face off. The seller said the red power button works for other models. The only way to turn the clock face off is to pull the AC power cord. A built-in battery retains the settings in case of a power failure. You cannot replace the built-in battery. There are no screws for disassembly. The backside is gloss-black, pressed cardboard. The edges and front face are plastic. There is no snooze control. You cannot turn off the rolling over of the seconds digits. When an alarm sounds, it continues for one minute. The remote does not have a button to turn off the alarm once it starts. If you want the alarm to last longer than one minute, you may set several alarms one minute apart from each other for up to 16 minutes. The picture shows it sitting on an end table. If out of the way and against a wall, this is fine. However, it should have come with a couple of plastic foot inserts for extra support in case you wish to place it on a horizontal surface. It was shipped in a plain, brown box with no indication of the manufacturer on the box or on the clock or on the single-sheet manual (the manual says only "4819N CLOCK MANUAL"). My clock gains about 3 seconds over 5 days. The time is easily visible from a distance and the remote operates well from 16 feet away. As for the 8 nonexistent, distinct chimes, the seller says they didn't sound very good, so the manufacturer upgraded the alarm system to what I described above. But who needs 16 available alarm times in one day? I'd rather have a choice of 16 different cheap-sounding chimes.

Not worth the price
I agree with everything Rob said below. It's an okay clock but after using it for 6 months it's not worth the 80 dollar price tag. I am especially disappointed that the on/off button on the remote does not work AND the Celsius to Fahrenheit is messed up.

Great for seniors like me who have problems seeing small numbers, I like the feature of the red glow the numbers have. Can't say you didn't see what time it was, unless the electricy goes off. Thank you for shipping it so fast, I am greatfull for all your company does. I trust you and your reps.

ONE REVIEWER SAID THAT YOU COULD NOT REPLACE THE BUILT-IN BATTERY. ASSUMING THAT IS TRUE, THE CLOCK PERMANENTLY LOSES THE FEATURE OF MAINTAINING THE CORRECT TIMEDURING A POWER OUTAGE. WHY WOULD ANYONE DESIGN A CLOCK IN THAT WAY?
