So, I have been a Rowkin earbud customer for a few years now, starting out with their Minis. I liked them quite a bit at the time - they were the only affordable, true wireless buds on the market. They fit well, were easy to pair, but the volume and battery life left me wanting (mainly due to the size, I think). I wanted to use them while mowing the lawn, but they simply weren't loud enough.Fast forward to 2019, and Rowin has a whole new set of very competitive and well-constructed earbuds that have louder volume, better sound and longer batter life.The earbuds came pre-charged and were super easy to pair - as soon as they are out of the case, you hear a faint "pairing mode" and they are already searching for a device to become good friends with. They paired nicely with both my android phone and Surface laptop.I'm amazed at how much better the sound is in these as compared to the Minis - they are plenty loud - even mellowing out the obnoxious lawn mower motor - I actually enjoyed mowing the lawn with tehse things! They stayed in (which is a minor miracle, as I seem to have some oddly-shaped ear canals, as many earbuds don't stay in) and pausing the music with a quick double-tap on the right bud was a breeze.I've yet to run the batteries out to truly test their capacity, but will do so and will update my review.There are a few things I would change if I could - primarily the lack of volume control. Unless I missed something in the instructions, there is no way to control volume with the buds - you have to do it on your device. The other things is the design itself. These have the appearance of earbuds from another company (you know, that fruit-named company that makes stuff) but they do not sit in the ear the same way. I thought these would "hang down" like those white earbuds, but these in fact pint out, instead of down when they are in your ears. Not a big deal in terms of actual usage (I think it may help with the mic for calls) but they do look a little bit odd sticking out like that. if you value the appearance over the sound, these may not be for you.If you can overlook a few little details, these are a heck of a buy for the price!

Was excited to buy these and try them, however there are no touch controls for volume as described. Upon further investigation, the Base Lite have no touch based volume control, but this information was not properly or effectively portrayed in the product description. It’s the only reason I bought these. They do sound pretty great, but there needs to be a clear delineation between the Base Line and the Base Lite. NOT THE SAME, and I am disappointed.UPDATE 9/22/2019I recently purchased through the indiegogo campaign the Base LINE and have updated my review in regards to the Base LINE headphones. Had I known they were going on Prime shortly for the same price, I would have waited considering that there was a $10 shipping fee! WTF. This is me shaking my fist angrily at Rowkin for that bit of BS. But now the review...Purchased the Base LINE through the indie gogo campaign after originally buying the base lite, not knowing the difference in functionality. Now that I’ve got my mitts on the Base Line, I can say that I’m very happy with this product, at least thus far. The sound is rich and these are the first buds where I can actually FEEL the bass (and it is not overpowering). I typically only have to listen at 50% volume. They stay snug in my ears, have a quality feel, and the touch controls are very responsive. I also have the Rowkin Ascent, and the touch controls are vastly improved over the Ascent, although I still love those lil guys/gals. Battery life is fantastic. I never think about having to charge them, and just charged the case for the first time after having these for about 3 weeks. I think my only qualm with the these is that right now there is no app functionality to change the sound settings. I am happy with the sounds, but would like to be able to hear some other sound profiles like I am able to with my other rowkin buds. I am gonna assume that this will come in the near future, but for now there is room for improvement. So 4/5 is my rating, with a heavy lean towards the 5. If you are searching for an AirPod alternative and want to keep the price reasonable, but not sacrifice quality, these are your new buddies.

Likes - boxing was simple and clutter free. Almost too simple, but i love Rowkins thinking about being as environmentally friendly as possible.So easy to use, in fact, that i didnt even need instructions.A design that is similar to Apples, but with an ear bud that ACTUALLY FITS in my ear. I have small ears so these were perfect for me.The fact that they fit so well makes them a winner when it comes to working out and riding my bike. Hopefully i'll get to try them out on the slopes here in Utah/Colorado.Battery life so far is pretty awesome. Ive already gone on an 8 hour flight and didnt have to recharge. I'll update this once ive gotten a much more extensive use out of them.Dislikes - Nothing to say here, although i have had a couple people tell me that the mic is SO good at picking up background noise. Not sure if there is a way to control this but ive just moved to different rooms to solve the problem when on a phone call.the call audio along with music audio is super clear. Im hearing instruments and vocals i never heard before. The price is sweet too! I even bought the Base Jump buds. They dont fit my ears quite as well, but i still need to play with the wing tips and the ear bud tips a bit to find the perfect fit. They are great to use while laying in bed though.
