Very well made!
It’s beautiful and it makes me smile! My kids were always playing this at the arcades and Chucky Cheese! Part of my memory Christmas tree collection!

So Cool
Love it. I already had the Donkey Kong and Galaga ornaments, now I have my favorite game in Defender. Love how precise the design is, looks just like the original and the sounds are spot on. I have a basement arcade and it looks great on my Full Size Defender Game and it also looks good on my Arcade Tree.

Entertaining and well made.
Expected the different games to be different stickers on the same cabinet, but they are unique and well made.

Fun.
As an arcade game collector I love these. This is one of four, Pac-Man, Galaga and Donkey Kong are the others. I suggest buying them the year they come out as the secondary market for these are outrageous.

Another great arcade ornament
Another Hallmark Arcade ornament that has all the sounds associated with the game and lights up as well

The ornament electronics are garbage.
The media could not be loaded. This ornament really reminded of the classic video game that I dominated as a kid. But it is made so poorly, it turned on for 4-5 times and the on/off button broke internally. Due to Amazon’s return policy I can’t get a replacement or refund. Be aware that it isn’t made well at all.

Cute little arcade ornament
This is my 2nd Hallmark Keepsake arcade ornament. In 2018, I purchased the Donkey Kong arcade ornament from Hallmark which I really love. 2019's arcade ornament is Defender. Overall, this Defender ornament has the right look (including the smaller CRT screen) but the quality is not up to par with the previous Hallmark models. First, the cabinet panel edging and front base is a shiny black plastic which makes the ornament look like a cheap toy. The Donkey Kong arcade ornament that I also have from Hallmark is spot-on in appearance and even though it's also made of plastic, all the panel edges are properly covered with a matte finish to give the cabinet a "wood laminate" appearance. Secondly, the front base of the Defender cabinet is embossed with "MIDWAY ARCADE CLASSICS - DEFENDER" which really cheapens the appearance. Previous Hallmark arcade ornaments didn't have this marking and they looked amazing. Though the arcade controls and decals are amazingly detailed, the construction is lacking as there is dried up glue residue along the front panel seams. The front base also has imperfections in the plastic itself (small dings) which gives it an cheap toy appearance. The ornament also did not come with any ornament string for hanging it on a Christmas tree.Another issue that I would like to report: When I received my ornament, the Hallmark box was open and had dings and dents all over. Though the ornament itself was well wrapped and didn't appear to be tampered with, the dented box is something to think about if you plan to keep this ornament and the box in excellent condition for future Christmas traditions. When ordering online, this is the risk that you might run into.Aside from the flaws, the 2019 Defender ornament functions exactly like previous models; a button on the arcade controls will light up the marquee and screen and the ornament plays music and sounds from the game. The screen is just an image of the game and doesn't move or anything. The lights and sounds last for about 30 seconds before the ornament automatically turns off. A metal loop on top of the cabinet allows you to tie an ornament string on it to hang on your Christmas tree though I think these arcade ornaments look great just standing on their own. The Defender ornament is also the same scale as the Donkey Kong unit which is good.Having bought 2018's model, I must say that I was disappointed when I saw the quality of 2019's model. 2020's arcade ornament is Joust which I will also buy. I missed out on 2008's Pac Man and 2009's Galaga and hope Hallmark re-releases these because they currently sell for anywhere between $100-200 on the after-market.
