May Require Work To Install
The hole in my patio table was over 2.25", so I thought this item would wedge in well and not stick out too much. No such luck. If yours is 2.5" or better, you will probably get a nice flush look. At 2.25", I hacksawed the two top sections off the wedge, and sanded the new top surface smoothly. Looks pretty good. Passable. Was hard to put 1.5" umbrella pole into wedge. Used silicone. (Beware: WD40 is not for rubber!) End result is decent, but expect a 30 minute project if your table hole is under 2.5". I wonder why patio tables and umbrella poles are not more standardized. An expensive table should come with umbrella adapters included. The maker of this wedge should offer various sizes depending on the size of the table hole. One size fits all leaves the product jutting well above the table surface above smaller holes. A good thing, though, is that this density of rubber gives a very stable feel to the umbrella once the install is complete!

works just as we expected
bought a new table and umbrella stand but the wood table didn't come with a plastic ring thing to keep the umbrella from banging around in the hole. so we picked this one - honestly, more because of the price than anything I can clearly point out. but we were pleasantly surprised when we got it and put everything together. It actually does keep the umbrella pole from rocking in the wind. the very last thing we wanted to happen was to weaken or splinter the hole. I gave 3 stars for durability because we've only had it for a week or so. impossible to know how durable it is, but it's very thick rubber.

Excellent surprise!
This cone works perfect. It does a far superior job than the original plastic ring. The hole in my table was an odd size (2 1/2”) and this was about our only alternative when the original ring broke. There is absolutely no movement of the umbrella shaft. Wished I would have know about these earlier.

Great piece for stability, appearance, and easy attachment
I have a cast iron aluminum outdoor dining (set) table with an umbrella hole (and umbrella) and chairs. Over time, the plastic gasket type protector for the umbrella hole has deteriorated, leaving the 1 and 1/2 inch umbrella pole unstable as the table hole is 2 and 1/4 inches. Instead of continuing to use rubber do-it yourself fillers, this is perfect. The cone fit allows for the variance of diameter in the hole and the pole. I found it easier to make a neat slit down the side in the rubber so that I can easily fasten it to the pole, rather than slide it up the pole, which was difficult if your pole is not less than 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter. - Good value for the money and purpose.

It worked to hold my umbrella in place!
My stand came with too narrow holder. I was using duct tape and cardboard to hold the umbrella pole in place. On the hopes this would work I ordered it , not having much faith it would work but it did! Perfect to hold my umbrella in place!

Just what I needed
We lost a new expensive umbrella to a relatively light breeze. The table base has a 2.5 inch diameter receiver that had a screw holder, but was only 2 inches deep. The umbrella was 1 1/2 inches in diameter. This cone wedge seemed a good solution. I expected to have to modify it to fit the shallow depth. It turned out that I did not have to do anything. The center hole is very tight for a 1 1/2 inch umbrella, but it could have been sliced vertically or lubricated. Maybe we were lucky, but it worked for us.

Works great to stabilize outdoor umbrella!
Even a gentle breeze caused our umbrella to sway. This cone wedge worked great to fill the gap between the hole and umbrella to stabilize. I highly recommend for an easy fix.

It worked just as described
I was in a real pinch until I found this item. My outdoor table hole & umbrella pole was 1 1/2"wide. But my umbrella base was over 2"wide. This little cone was the only thing I could find to solve my problem and did it ever. Worked like a charm. I was so relieved that I did not have to go out and buy another umbrella base. This cone saved the day! Thank you Amazon for carrying so many useful gadgets that cannot be found elsewhere, esp. in a small, rural town like mine. I've had the umbrella up several weeks now, it hasn't moved/loosened at all. We have had several hard Summer rains and thunder storms with some high winds, but for only short periods of time. Stability, Sturdiness, Durability all excellent so far. I will do an update later in the season.
