We love most of the Helinox products, and thought to upgrade one of our "festing" chairs. We own 4 other chairs, 2 each of the next 2 sizes down. While well made and easy to assemble like our other Helinox chairs, we ended up returning this one as it is substantially taller when folded, and noticeably heavier when in a backpack. Recommend for RV or auto day trips, but it's not really a backpack chair.

This is a very high quality, comfortable chair. I am a six foot 225 lb man and it really does support my weight and size it fits nicely in a small bin in the back of our small motorhome, along with another Sunset chair, Helinox table and an aluminum folding camp table. After about four years, the aluminum back frame broke, but there is a nice warranty and Helinox fixed it for free. The customer service is excellent. Sadly, a few years later, the frame broke in the same place. I don’t expect we have a warranty any longer, so I just placed an order for a new chair, which I will have in a few days. We have several accessories for our chairs, such as sand mats, tether stakes, rocking chair feet and portable shades. They all are compact items and work as advertised. You get what you pay for. These chairs are a great and very nice addition to our camping equipment.

This is the perfect chair. Had one for years and when it finally broke from extensive use I immediately bought a new one to replace it. I bring it everywhere. When I have my helinox, I always have the best seat in the house!

I, as a Wild Land Firefighter, expect gear that will last for seasons to come. This chair seems unnecessary for someone like myself who needs gear that is compact enough to fit into a single small 'red bag' that is an acceptable size for a helicopter ride to the top of the mountain. YET< I have found that this chair is not only tough enough to handle the daily abuse I put it under at the end of each day, It is way more comfortable than the general 'rock' or tripod folding chair one might bring on the line.... It is stronger than any other tripod camp chair I have tested and WAY more comfortable . Sorry if my wording is not correct, I simply felt that this chair deserved a good review by someone other than someone who uses the chair one week or less per year.WELL WORTH THE DOLLARS

I love this chair! Easy to assemble, really compact and lightweight as compared to other camping chairs, a beautiful green color. Now I'm going to order the cupholder to go with it!

I had incredibly high hopes considering the brand name and the price. As it turns out this chair is Not incredibly comfortable. Being 5 lbs it would need to be wayyy comfier for me to be able to justify backpacking with this thing, considering it is about the same pack size and weight as my tent. The seat part is not quite deep enough. I would use it for car camping but then I might as well just bring a heavier and comfier chair with some arms and a cup holder since I would not be carrying it very far. I would maybe bring this on a day hike if I were going somewhere without trees (if there are trees a hammock is a comfier, and lighter option.) Because of the weight and abysmal comfort level, this chair falls in an awkward middle ground that I am having a hard time finding a use for (maybe a music festival.) 3 stars because it’s very easy to put together and easy to put away. For the high price, I’m not sure how much use I’ll get out of it.

How can something be so light and small and yet provide a quality seating experience, not sure how but this chair fulfilled all of my needs. It's light, it's sturdy, easy to set up and take down and unlike some camp chairs actually goes back into the carrier bag. Amazing. Like so many people I've looked at this chair for over a year. I kept putting in my cart and then saving it for later but finally decided to take the plunge and buy it. Glad I did, hopefully the last camping chair I'll ever buy. A big plus is that unlike my previous heavy, bulky camp chair that never really fit back into the carrier bag I will actually use this because it's such a pleasure to use. like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

This is a great chair except for one aspect which I will describe later. The build quality of this chair is excellent, it is very light weight and packs very small. The one aspect I don't like is the lack of armrests. I still give this chair five stars since the lack of armrests is something I should have been aware of. I am returning this chair and will order the Savanna. If you can get by without armrests, then is is the chair to get—if you want arm rests, then get the Savanna. In either case, you will be getting a very high quality chair.
