Sushi: A Children's Book by Mary NhinI know nothing about this food so thought id' be fun to learn about it.This is a rhyming book and has many colorful illustrations about what's going on in the pictures.Sometimes it's hard to find the words to read because the page is just SO busy with graphics.Never knew there were so many different kinds of sushi.Like pages that show you how they are made for a meal.

This is a children’s book that makes an introduction to what sushi is. A little boy makes the introduction and shows us his love and excitement for sushi.The idea for this book is nice and well done. The style of the illustrations fits quite well the theme. The illustrations are very colorful, clean and well-composed. Just like sushi 🙂I thought the illustrator did a better job drawing the food than the characters. But still, overall I quite liked the artwork.This is a fun and beautiful book, great to help introduce sushi to any child.

Makes me even t sushi now. I love the story sweet shirt and to the point. Good read and a way to introduce sushi to children. Teachers can get very creative with this book. A week curriculum paired with this book will be fantastic for students, a different way to introduce culture and new food

We really enjoyed this book! We are a sushi loving family and our kids are slowly getting accustomed to sushi-related things (like edamame). The kids recognized a lot of the references in this book, which was so fun. The rhyming was well done too, so it made the story especially engaging. Highly recommend!!

Loved the illustrations. I personally have never had sushi and learned a couple things. Would be great for a study unit on a different culture! Or about a new type of food- sushi! A great way to introduce kids to Sushi or a fun gift for the Sushi lover in your life.

Warning! Do not read this book on an empty stomach! Everything in it looks and sounds so good, you’ll go crazy. The illustrations are fun, and the message of learning about and loving new foods is very refreshing. Sure to be a hit with even the fussiest eaters.

What an adorable book! As a mom I encourage my kiddo to try new foods and this book actually helped a lot! It describes the process of making sushi, the different kinds and even side items to go with the sushi! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a rhyming picture book about sushi, but was pleasantly surprised. The simple rhyming text and bright illustrations in this little book are a great way to introduce kids to a food type that they may well be unfamiliar with in a positive way, and to help diversify their knowledge of different eating habits in different cultures.
