They're tongs. They work.
I bought these a couple weeks ago for kitchen use in place of the 14 inch tongs that came with my grilling utensil set. I haven't used the 12 inch tongs yet, maybe I'll try those next grilling season, but the 9 inch tongs are working well so far. I mostly use them to flip meat being baked or broiled, but they seem as though they would hold up well under any reasonable kitchen usage.I cannot attest to their dishwasher safety, because I normally hand wash them, but I can say they are very easy to hand wash. I expect that's probably the case for any similar kitchen tong product, but my grilling tongs were a total pain to hand wash due to the teeth design, so... these don't have that problem.The locking mechanism works, which is useful for storage. Not sure what else to say about that.Since it's not listed in the specs: the maximum opening for the food-gripping part of the tongs is about 5.5 inches for the 9 inch tongs and about 7.25 inches for the 12 inch tongs.The only criticism I would have about this product is that the metal edges of the inside shaft part of the tongs are a little sharp, as shipped. This is not the case for either the part of the tongs that you grip for usage or the parts of the tongs that grip the food, though. Given that this is a kitchen (or grill) utensil and not a toy, I don't personally consider that a significant issue.Only time will tell whether these tong hold up versus similar products, but at least the 9 inch tongs have worked well for me so far, and I cannot currently find any similar or better quality 9 inch tongs on Amazon, even without the 12 inch tongs, for a better price.

Great tongs for the price. Can't tell the difference between these and my OXO tongs
Good quality tongs. I honestly couldn't tell you the difference between these and the OXO tongs I own. They've gone through the dishwasher without any rusting which makes this a winner in my book.

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for...Made of very Thin steel ... Be prepared to cut yourself with these. I have cut my hand several times now when the meaty part of my palm gets too close to the scissor action. The metal edges are very sharp... I had to take a hammer to the inside opening to fold the metal over better. They Work but they are cheaply made.

This pair of tongs are very solid and of good quality. The ring at the back which can be used to lock the tongs in closed position is really handy, and this design for the locking mechanism gives a clean finish to the product.

I have to say they have been great since day 1
wife complained that the junky tongs we have needed replacing. she went and got these. I have to say they have been great since day 1. durable, not cheap, great quality materials and they've gone through the dish washer a bunch of times. i highly recommend these
