Is this Chinese made?

I don't know, but even if it is, it is very, very well made. I had my old Blendtec for 11 years before giving it to my daughter, still in excellent condition, and I bought a new one of the same model -- sturdy and works great!

I'm hearing alot of reports of failed motors and bad container bearings on these, and trying to decide between Blendtec and Vitamix. What's the deal?

I haven’t had any motor or bad container bearing problems. I’ve had the Blendtec for over a year now and absolutely no problems. It blends my smoothies smooth as silk. My daughter has one too and hers is 5+ years old and still performs as good as my newer one. I’ve never used Vitamix so can’t comment on the differences.

does this sale include the 3-quart as well as the 2-quart? Also, what power plug will it have? I will be wanting to use it in New Zealand. Thank you.

I did not receive a 3-quart. Power plug is the standard American plug with a ground pole.

Does anyone know if this blendtec has chinese parts inside. I amheartsick because vitamix has move to china no more swiss motors?

Blendtec blenders are made in Orem, UT. When I bought mine I asked about this and was told that they are assembled with components that are manufactured in-house or primarily US sourced. What percentage of non primariy US part they use and where they come from I don't know. Truth be told you will be hard pressed to find something that does not have something from china even if it says US made. If 75% of it is US made and the rest is from europe or other places I think it's huge win. Just the world we liev in today.
