Great Product Plus
The media could not be loaded. I bought this product for my Nano Rasbora and Ember 55 gallon tank. It works great. I'm not going for a really dark water, I just want to add it to entice breeding. There was a problem with the delivery, and it became undeliverable. I contacted the owner of the company. He was very gracious. He also sent me their new fish food line. My Tiny Chili and Phoenix Rasboras and Ember Tetras love it. They go crazy like they do for Brine Shrimp. My Ember Tetras and Emerald Eye Rasboras eat the Small Fry Powder formula and the Phoenix and Chili Rasboras love the Tiny Fry Powder Formula bt AQUATIC PROVISIONS. I highly recommend all their products.

Turns water dark
This really does turn water a nice color. My cardinals love it. Use carbon, if you don’t want the color, and still get the humic and fluvic acid benefits.Getting the pump to work was a bear, use padded pliers

Best dark water additive out there
It’s amazing stuff. The pump that comes with the bottle sucks. But the liquid inside is like magic. Fish love it.

Works just as good as any other of the black water extracts
First off, if you want your water to keep that darker color without adding this or any other blackwater extract weekly then...use something like peat moss in the filter or even almond leaves but something that leaches slowly and over time. However even then you have to freshen up and replace the leaves or peat as it will also run out of tanins. With that said all the blackwater extracts lighten up in a week or even a bit less. This is why they say to add weekly. Not sure what happens to the tanic acids...are they used up...do they fall out of the water column...I don't know and I have kept amazon style tanks for 30 years. I don't really care...I just add a little weekly just like I do ferts or whatever. It is no big deal...seriously.I would say with most water it doesn't really lower the PH much...I mean a tad if you have moderate or moderate soft water but if it is hard forget it. If it is ueber soft like say discus tanks maybe a bit more PH drop but....my tanks are moderately soft not real soft and I MIGHT see a fractional drop in PH. I run my tanks around 6.2 to 6.4 PH.Have I had breeding...sure...my Blue rams bred about a week after adding this but guess what...that could be pure poopenstance as well. No way to prove it.The bottom line with any dark water stuff is...use it because you like adding that bit of color and some possible but remote addition of some humic acids etc but none are some miracle additive. I knew a very very well known discus breeder years back...very well know in the discus world...they don't use any additives so bake on that for a while.Last I use this one because it is more affordable than the rest and I can not tell any difference between this one and the other top two makes. So use it and as Heddy Lamar said...."gentlemen.... gentlemen.... relax your sphincters"

Adds Tannins to your tank
I was nervous about adding this to my black water tank because it wasn’t a product I had ever used, but it works wonders in adding tannins to your tank. It does lower the Ph a little but not that much. My fish are super healthy and look great in their black water setup.

Goes Fast
The pump is a bit frustrating as it will just pump at the slightest touch. But if you open the bottle pump once, then (while still over the water) you start to close the bottle and let it drip into your water you'll be fine. The color stays strong for a few days then slowly clears up, THIS IS NORMAL. The water doesn't have constant dispositing tannins so eventually, it will clear up. Make sure you don't use Carbon or Purigin and your set.

Great dark water look, with some caveats
If you want a dark water look, this is a great instant addition to give to your water. However, the tannins for this darkwater make it look more of a dark black/brown than a dark deep red/brown that I've seen in other blackwater tanks. I believe this is probably due to the type of tannins used. I wish we could give half star points as well, I'd give this 4.5 stars! The reason for the star being off is mostly due to it not lasting very long. The darkwater will already start to fade by the second day, so I find I have to add more more often than necessary to maintain the blackwater look. Other than that, I think this is a good solution for someone who doesn't want to make their own blackwater extract or plop their own IAL into the water. I use this in my betta tank and he loves it very much.
