we knwow this is a dying breed but has the warm tones of recording that digital can not produce. Go ahead and spend the extra two dollars and get TDK. A pro told me that Maxell leaves a lot of residue on tape heads. so you will have to keep cleaning. Bought these for someone and heard complaints. too cheap.

These tapes are good, solid tapes and it is wonderful that someone is still manufacturing tapes since I use them to record. That being said, they are not the best tapes. I get a better sound out of the Maxell high bias tapes. Anyway, the price is right for these guys and I will definitely purchase them again.

I use cassettes alot!!! Like for over 20 years. All my music is on cassette. I Don't down load and no ipod. And now their coming back around in the underground music scene with a big splash! I never left them. Easy solition to dirty tape deck heads. Rubbing alcohol and a Q tip. Make sure you clean the spin wheel too. It does better than a normal tape cleaner.
