Quite tart, fruity and refreshing but how much?!
The very first comment I was going to make when I opened the jar was that it is more akin in texture to a fruit spread than a fruit jam. Then I noticed the description and found that's exactly what it is - a fruit spread! It has quite a runny consistency (which isn't surprising, given that there is no pectin) and so spreading it on thickly is not really an option, unless you want to make a complete mess. Having said that, given the current selling price (£5.49 for a reasonably small jar), it's one of those things that should be used sparingly. The spread is quite tart and bitter but I guess this is to be expected, given there is no added sugar, unlike normal jam. However, it is quite refreshing and creates an explosion of flavours when coupled with something sweeter, like cream. Whilst there are quite a lot of natural sugars in fruit, the lack of any added sugar might make this ideal for anymore who is looking to reduce their sugar intake, with the added benefit being that you ultimately get more fruit in the jar.Overall, it is very tasty, but don't expect it to have the same taste, sweetness and consistency as a regular store bought jam.

Great natural taste of juicy apricots
I really enjoyed this. It has great flavour and is thick with juicy apricots. Liked the presentation too.I enjoyed it on toast but also with croissants, and good with ice cream too.

Smooth, sweet and fruity!
This is 100% fruit jam with no added sugars so all the sweetness and flavour is coming from the fruit itself. It’s 38% sugar (naturally occurring) compared to the usual 50-65% you see in standard jams.I quite like it; it’s got a palatable fruity flavour and smooth, slightly thin but spreadable consistency that works with scones, bread, toast, crackers etc. Also perfect for stirring into porridge or plain yogurt and a good, natural alternative to buying pots of fruit yogurt with tons of added sugar, flavourings and preservatives. It’s not overly sweet and does lack that thick, glossy appearance I associate with jam, plus there aren’t any chunky bits of fruit to enjoy - I don’t mind smooth fruit spreads though and it does the job for me when I’m craving something sweet and fruity but don't want a sugar overload. I’ve also used it in the place of sugar to add sweetness to a raw oat square recipe and it worked well for this. It’s a smallish jar but just about reasonably priced (under a fiver at the time of review) for an organic no added sugar jam; I’d get it again when I want a smooth fruit spread.

You can taste the sunshine and Italian sun in this. Gorgeous, sweet and tart. Very moreish.
This is perhaps the most amazing jam I've tasted - it's more like a thick pulp with chunky bits and smooth bits, with a lovely natural sweetness, scent and tartness. It tastes of sun-ripened fruit and not the leave-to-ripen stuff sold in punnets in UK supermarkets. This is lovely on toast (tried it when it arrived this afternoon) and even nicer in plain Greek yoghurt. It is thick and spreads nicely but also doesn't drop off the knife. The only reason it doesn't get 5* is that it is a little overpriced for 250g of fruit. Yes, it's organic and there's no added sugar, but it's still a batch product and let's face it, fruit on the continent is of better quality and taste due to the amount of sunlight and the climate, and especially so in Italy. Move over Crosta and Mollica, though, as this tastes even more authentic than the 3 varieties of jam I've been able to get my hands on in the UK.

There are times…
…when I am offered a product to try that really appeals to me when I read the description provided by the seller. And there are also times when I go and check out the reviews left by end-users in order to get a balanced view of a product. And this is one of those times.I am a fan of the taste and even the smell of both peaches and apricots – so when I had the opportunity to try this – “FruitTree Organic 100% Apricot fruit spread. 250g. Made only with Plant-Based Ingredients. No Pectin. No Added Sugar. No Preservatives.” – I didn’t hesitate to request it.This 250g jar is attractively presented and the label is extremely well laid out with information in 3 languages. At this point having just opened the jar, with a reassuring ‘pop’ from the lid, and eagerly looking forward to my breakfast toast with ‘Fruit Tree Organic 100% Apricot’ I am sadly less than overwhelmed and also sadly less enthusiastic than some.I cannot argue with the words of the seller’s description – because I have no doubt they are accurate – supplemented by the label which confirms the content as: ‘100% Pure Fruit, Organic and Sweetened Only With Sun-Ripened Fruit’ which accounts for the relatively low sugar content per 100g of only 38g giving an overall 188kcal per 100g.However, this jar contains [according to the label] an - Apricot Fruit Spread - and I found it to be a little thin and possibly even ‘runny’ as opposed to normal jam which may be as a result of the ingredients missing from this ‘spread’. More importantly than all of this is that I found very little smell or taste of the 7 apricots which are apparently in each jar – as a fan of Apricots this was particularly disappointing for me personally.I have not tried any of the other FruitTree products and it is entirely possible that I received an ‘off jar’ that is not representative of their products – I am happy to accept that this could explain my different experience – but as things are I remain thwarted in my expectation and hope for a taste treat. Please note: I was supplied with this product free of charge for giving an honest review [having used and/or tested the product in everyday use] which I feel I have done.If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on 'Helpful' or 'Comment'.Thank you for your time in reading my 'Review/Feedback' – I hope it may have helped.
