Although these are expensive, they do work. I had to buy a second pack of these as my lovebird (who has always had three eggs has four this clutch). I just wait for around a week of her not laying and then replace when they are out of her sight. Works every time. Then after the appropriate hatch time we remove the eggs, again without her seeing. She is destressed for only around 5 minutes. Also, once the eggs are removed she is given lots of attention and new toys. That seems to make the transition much smoother.

I lost a bird because of egg binding last year so I was really glad to find this product. As soon as one of my parakeets started acting broody I got out the nesting box and popped 3 eggs in. She happily sat on her plastic babies for a couple of weeks. Afterward I took the eggs out and she rejoined her pals. No laying at all!

I used these for my lovebirds who just laid 3 eggs. Did exactly as the instructions said, removed them after the right period of time and viola! They are not nesting...yet...Lol!

I provided these eggs (3) to my lovebird when I found she was laying. They we exact in size and, for the most part, feel and weight. My lovebird stayed with these eggs for about 9 days before loosing interest (at which time I promptly removed them). She is very happy, has returned to her normal, curious activities - so sweet!
