Be sure to lay it out a few days before installing so the plastic flattens out. I thought the install to be easy. I think it will take my paint off when it’s time gor it to come off but I knew that from some of the other reviews. I purchased with KEBR Door Scratch Protector and like that on better. It’s invisible and since the paints a goner anyway I would get that over this in the future.

My extremely anxious 11 lb dog sometimes scratches at the door to escape. This is thick enough for him, although I don't think it would stand up to a large dog. I also couldn't use the door hanger because it didn't fit over my handle. Had to cut that off. Because of comment that it didn't stick well and I need to use removable adhesives in my apartment, I used Command picture hanging strips instead. They work fine and there's no falling off.

It wasn't what I expected! It didn’t last that long and came right off the door and took the paint with it! Its easy to cut to size! I tried a small piece on the trim wear my dog is biting but he bit it off! Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s ruining the paint on the door! It’s worse than my dog scratching! Ugh, is there another solution out there? It’s going to cost me more to fix the door than what this product was worth!

Bad reviews are usually due to operator error. I didn't have to lay it flat for days, it's thick plastic. Come on lol. It unrolled easily and flattened out just fine when I put it up. It wasn't as difficult to take the backing off the adhesive as everyone else is saying. You just have to take your time and not be ridiculous about it. When I put it on I didn't press the adhesive down hard and was able to reposition it without any damage. I do expect to have to repaint when I take it off, but that's not a big deal to me. Once you press it down hard, it's really on there and yeah paint is coming off with it. It seems like it will hold up well, we'll find out once my dog starts jumping on the door. I'll come back to update if it's pulled off easily, but overall I'm happy with this purchase and it seems like it will do what it's supposed to do.

1. The adhesive stickers are garbage. I now have to repaint my door, as the stickers peeled off and took the paint with them. 2. It does look like I cut an office chair floor mat and put it on my door. One that never looks flush on the door. 3. Does keep the cats from scratching the door, though they've now just moved half an inch over and destroy the trim. Nothing like that wood feel on the claws, I guess.

This product is a door saver! We are renting and our dog gets a little wild when someone is at the door. Rather than paying for damages, we got this plastic cover and it has held up! Our dog is a solid 75lbs and the cover doesn't move! The adhesive quality is fantastic. We had to trim a little bit off but otherwise it fit our door. It looks perfectly fine as the cover is clear and not very noticeable. I would highly recommend this product!

My dogs scratch the front door to come in. I had always lived in a place where I HAD to take my dogs on leashed walks outside. So I never had this problem before. Now that I’ve been living in an area basically at the base of the mountains with lots of land I’m able to just let them outside and roam around. My only problem is that when I’m not outside with them to let them back in the house, they scratch the door to let me know they want to be let in. I don’t know how to correct this behavior since I’m on the other side of the door. I had to sand the door and re-stain it twice before I found this product. It’s not the most attractive, but it keeps the door looking beautiful, and for whatever reason they don’t like to scratch the plastic as much. We have two glass doors on back of the house and they never scratch those doors to come inside.

I thought it would work, but my 12 year old female hunting dog pulled it down and tore it into 3 pieces the 1st full day after we attached it to the door. The sticky circles came off attached to the vinyl, and took the paint in circles with it. I had unpainted circles left on the door, so I had to have the door repainted. For me, it was a waste of money.

funciona muy bien, pero se ve una plasta en la puerta, lo ancho no da a una puerta normal, lo tuve que cortar y el pedazo que sobró no se puede usar mas que para alguna otra cosa, habrá que ser creativo. Pedí otro porque ese uno sólo dió para un pedazo de puerta.

Good product that does protect the door from our dog snatching the door. The installation was frustrating. The 3M stickers just peel and apply to the sheet, however removing the backside of the 3M stickers was very difficult. The peel off tabs kept tearing off and I had to use my finger nails to remove and many of them can off in pieces. With a box cutter I was was to trim the sheet to fit the door. Initially I could see the 3M stickers on the sheet once installed. Happy with the result after a day of drying the 3M stickers became clear, door looks great.

Didn’t stay on when the weather turn to the minus temperatures. Would not recommend for colder weather. Took the paint off the door.
