Wonderful way to display that special piece!
I created a unicorn for my granddaughter, using the shape of the head from a kit I bought, but adding the flowers and the "vine" on my own. Since the embroidered flowers and other elements were raised, I needed a shadowbox, rather than a plain frame, to mount it in. I chose this box because the depth of it also allowed lights to be inserted inside the shadowbox. I love the total effect of the finished product! It was a difficult piece because the "fabric" I chose to use was more of an oilcloth and that made the work very slow going. In the end, it was well worth it, though. I will be using this type frame for more products in the future!

Nice but broken
Bought to make a gift for someone, but it arrived cracked on one side, the glass part was thankfully fine. The sellers were quick to help me though.

Love them!
Second time I've ordered this frame to mount and display some signed albums! Both of the frames are the same manufacturer, just different sizes!

Read instructions carefully and pay attention to sizing
The instructions for how to arrange this shadow-box frame with the glass in front is very confusing and not included in the packaging (unless I missed it somehow). You have to remove a hidden insert inside the frame first, then put the glass in the front, then re-insert the insert. Once done, it works fine -- unless the item you're putting inside the shadowbox is the same size as the frame, in which case the insert won't go back in place and then you can't put the back on. Make sure the item for which you want the frame is SMALLER than the frame size to give you room to return the insert to its position, which holds on the backing. I also had a problem noticed by others that one of the bendable pins that secure the back to the frame dislodged from the frame. I have enough other pins to hold he back together, but be very careful when bending the pins that they don't come out.In my case, after communications with the seller, I figured out how to remove the insert and get the glass in, but then the insert wouldn't go back in because of the size of the item I was framing (silly me, I chose a frame the exact size of my item). I was able to make-shift it by putting some stray styrofoam into the gap and got the back on, but it was a challenge. If you have an item to frame that is smaller than the frame size, you won't have that problem.

Amazing Packaging!
Everything about this shadow box was perfect, although I did have to rearrange the order of things to meet my needs.Since I was using it to make a special gift for my friend, I really appreciated how it arrived encased in styrafoam and in a perfectly sized box, which I could reuse. The simplicity of the black frame along with the accompanying beveled mat were classy finishing touches. The only difficulty I had was I needed to print on the paper "backing" and since my printer only accepts standard-sized paper, I had to replace the paper and enlist my husband's help to figure out how to center the printing. In summary, I highly recommend this product. It's exactly as pictured and described.

Read the instructions
So I am not an instructions kind of girl so when I first opened this I thought they sent the wrong one. The way the frame comes it seems like it is not a shadow box. You have to disassemble and reassemble it to make it a shadow box. I used a picture of my husband and our two youngest girls in the ocean on our fathers day beach trip and then filled the bottom with sand and shells. Bad idea. A top loading frame would have been better as the sand continuously leaked out of the back of the frame. I hot-glued the hell out of it and its finally sealed.

Sturdy and nice looking-just a few things missing on the back.
This is a good product-sturdy for sure. However one of the metal clips to hold in the backing was missing and if you wanted to hang the frame instead of using it as a stand alone frame you would need to flip your picture first since the hook was on the opposite side.

Be Cautious When Opening ...
Purchased this on Prime as needed it the next day for a present. Arrived beautifully packaged. Was covered in dust from the polystyrene but no big deal as easily wiped off. However, when opening the actual frame and taking the glass out there was a chip in the top corner which I cut my finger on. I wiped the blood off so I could photograph and send to seller but there doesn't appear to be any way of contacting the seller direct. I did not want to package up broken glass either to return in case the person at the other end hurt themselves too. Real shame as the frame itself was lovely for the money.

Quality is Poor
I bought this expecting it to be like any other frame I've purchased over the years...Expecting too much I suppose. The clips that hold the backing, the picture and the glass are just pushed into the MDF by a few mm. So when you bend them back to first open the back, they pull out and some had even fallen out in the box. Then if they do remain in place...after you have put your picture in and closed it...you have to bend them back to hold the frame together...then those too fall out and you can't put them back into the MDF as they were done by machine.Very poor, sent it straight back for refund.Bought another type in far higher quality and for less.

Broken after first use. Rubbish!
Fuming… I have a 40th birthday to go to tomorrow, went to put in the back and two of the frame clips to secure the back has snapped off. It’s snapped off at first use. Now I’m stuck with such little notice. Cheap tat. Don’t recommend. Worst thing is, I might have to use it and sellotape the back if I can’t get a new one in time. Rubbish.

Looks good, not good quality
A couple of the clips broke off as soon as I removed the back to put the item in for display. Now ok, you are not going to take the back off every 5 minutes, but it’s not that well made. It’s a shame, because it looks good.

Boxed frame.
I thought at the time the glass was on the outside of the box frame not in the inside. So it wasnt fit for purpose but then bought some white strong tape and put glass on outside. Its made it so much better and I've achieved what i set out to do.
