I had just recieved a CD of a medical exam when I realized I have multiple laptops, but not one has a CD/DVD drive. My desktop is old and needed a tune up I wasnt in the mood to give it. I jumped on Amazon and went with "cheap," with Prime I recieved it super quickly, it's worked with Win 7 and 10, no problems with questionable discs with light scratches, easily recognized and transfers data fast, and I love the bottom cord keeper. Only thing I'd change is color of the case but that's really just a "me thing"

portable ,plug and play works in any computer it is plugged into.

One of the poorest external pieces of equipment I have ever used. I thought it was the CD or DVD a couple of times that was the problem only to realize that with every CD/DVD this reader/writer can't read what's in it or keep it read for long. I would not purchase this again and now too late to return for refund.

I purchased this item because my laptop doesn't have a cd drive and i needed it to install software for my computer and the drive never got recognized by my laptop and and the disk just spent out of control. and due to Covid 19 it extremely hard for me to return this item. highly disappointing.
