Thin book not much info but good pictures
The book is thin... Not enough Instruction to really learn boxing. The Gleason boxing workout has more information on learning and creating a workout. The pictures are nice colored photos like a coffee table type of book. I think it is more for workouts to just to get in shape not really to learn the art. Best books to actually learn are boxing by navy. Boxing by Edwin Haislett, inside boxing by Floyd patterson, box like the pros by Joe frazier, better boxing by la fond. update 06/24/2022 - I looked over the book again and found some gems in terms of combinations / mitt work that actually are very nice to have. I have started to incorporate them into my workout on the heavy bag. the circuit of exercises are good to have. I found the "landmine" exercises not as useful. there are sample workouts which I looked over again and will incorporate into my workout so I might have been a bit harsh in my first review. I still think the book "boxing" by edwin haislett to be the best but it does not go into combinations, the more detailed book "boxing" by Naval Aviation group is the next best to get a full grounding in boxing. It is almost a textbook on the subject with lesson plans and drills.

Great boxing primer
This is an incredible primer for someone looking to start boxing for fun and fitness. I do think I get more out of it because Iโve taken a couple kickboxing classes, but I think a beginner would like it too! I am impressed by the detail of each workout, including photos and specific instructions to follow. I also love that itโs friendly to all genders and features a variety of modelโs body types. It helps me feel included instead of shut out.
