Smart WiFi LED Light Bulb-LED RGB Color Changing Bulbs-Compatible with Amazon Alexa Echo and Apple HomeKit, No Hub Required, A19 E26 Multicolor

Great potential, but needs fine-tuning!This review is for Rubetek Wi-Fi bulb. The product works as advertised and come with great features, namely support for all three major players in consumer home automation. User can control brightness, color and on/off from within Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and/or Google Home.Suggestions for Rubetek developers:1. Fix localization. For example «Назад»2. Had to add/remove the bulb with the app before I was able to get a valid HomeKit code after firmware update. The app needs to provide valid HomeKit accessory code.3. Online Alexa instructions are missing a step to enable Rubetek skill.4. Online HomeKit instructions are missing a step on how to obtain HomeKit accessory code from bulb settings/info scene.5. Phone country code selection is not sorted alphabetically and is missing USA. I had to select incorrect country with the +1 country code in order to enable skills.6. No online instructions on how to enable Google Home skill.

- This bulb comes with a tiny user manual with instructions that are mediocre at best.- There are barcodes that won’t scan - don’t bother trying to use that to set up.- This does NOT have the Apple HomeKit code required to set up for use on iOS devices.-The Rubetek app did not recognize the bulb after almost an hour of checking.- The links in the manual lead to a 404 error on their website.- When I called the “support” line, it sounded like someone’s personal line. Very unprofessional.

Don't bother...1) The only way to set it up is to download their app -- it does NOT set up under Home Kit.2) Their app is awful; some of the instructions are in Russian only, the instructions are different from the joke of a manual, and, best of all, the app CRASHES in the middle of a setup, on both an iPhone X and a 2017 iPad. Since that's the only way one can set it up, I can't use the light bulb.

4 of the 6 bulbs purchased had an identical device code which made it impossible to use more than 3. Adding one was OK. Adding the next one simply replaced the first one in the list of devices because of the identical code. And so on... What a waste of time! Oh, and adding a bulb to Apple Homekit requires it to be added into the Rubetek app first which won't work unless you give it your mobile phone number.

The description says 75W. I measured the output with a light meter vs a 60W incandescent - they are about equal. Definitely not 75W. Grrrr.Bulbs are not HomeKit certified, so the setup needs to be done with an external app. Not difficult, but not intuitive. Set up first using the app, and get the HomeKit 8-digit code from the app's bulb details. Use that HomeKit code to set up the bulb within Apple Home. After that, you're up and running.Dimmer than the 75W I expected, but it does work.

Rubbish ... it says HomeKit compatible and it works only once in a while (10% of the time or less). Never worked with Alexa or google home either.On top of that it just went dead... less than 10 months of usage!!!

I actually like how I can change the atmosphere in the apartment - I replaced the bulb in lamp in the living room with this one and now I can set up cool white for reading, warm white to play with kids, or red : when kids are sleeping... App was easy to set up and it is easy to use.
