Fast Machine and bargain cost
I was looking for 6 cores, 16 GB and 512 SSD. This laptop was a good price for what I needed. I haven't had a chance to try out the video editing but I have brought up Chrome, Outlook, Excel, and Word and still only has 10 GB of memory used. A game I play on Facebook used to take forever to load zips along and finally causes the fan to kick in a bit. I was worried it would be noisy but it's no worse than my previous laptop and the fan doesn't kick in as much. I will update this review when I try out the video and photograph editing.

This laptop is enormous, and the battery life is not very good
Perhaps I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but this laptop is very thick, wide, and powerful. I think that my biggest complaint about this laptop was that it isn't very portable. If you want a powerful semi-portable gaming machine, then this is a good deal. However if you wanted a portable powerhouse that can also play games, then do reconsider this. My other complaint was that if you find that this isn't your cup of tea, you lose 20% to a restocking fee. So just be aware of what you are buying before you click the buy now.

Possibly Used Laptop and Terrible Customer Service
I was extremely excited for this Alienware when I received it. So excited that when I was trying to open the box, it almost seemed like I didn't know how to open it.I set up and everything was fine. I even fully charged it. Then when I used it unplugged, I noticed the battery life lasted about an hour. I thought that was odd but I also thought maybe I just didn't fully charged it (even though I was sure I did).I charged it once more and used it without plugging it in and the battery lasted 45 mins. I kept the laptop for a month and almost everytime I used (when it was unplugged), the battery only lasted 45 mins. And if you do your research well (which is what I did before purchasing a high end computer like this) it clearly states that the battery should last at least 6 hours. Also, I should point out that I mostly used it for basic computing, research. I played video games on it maybe for a total of three times and the battery last 30 minutes. That is when I decided to return the laptop because there's something clearly wrong with it despite the description on Amazon stating it is NEW.So, I returned it.According to the tracking info for this product, it has already been delivered since August 17, 2020. I'm supposed to receive my refund once the product has been received and signed off as received. I know it has been signed off as received because it states that on my Amazon account but I still have not received my refund. I spent nearly $1600 for this laptop and it is now September 6, 2020.I would not recommend ANYONE buying such an expensive item from whoever it is that sold the laptop. Their service is terrible.

Slick looking and been doing what said it would do!
So far, I have been able to play every game I have wanted. Why it says that it will probably not be compatible with Cyberpunk 2077 because of video card, it appears the Gforce card I have is compatible. As with any Dell, there is a ton of bloat wear with their systems and while it is appreciated to some extent because my knowledge of tech is enough to get me in trouble (so more than the average person, but far below a techie programmer), compared to a company like HP, it seems to bog down the laptop a tad bit. there are times when you get the everything freezes, even the mouse syndrome for a couple seconds. It is not that frequent, but has happened enough where I've gone -sigh.It would be nice to have a bigger hard drive, but of course that means $, but I have a 4Terabyte external harddrive connected by the USB C port and run all my games from that external drive and have had no issues. The extra USB ports have been awesome and say it is a great perk to the lattop. If had my choice, another USB or even USBC could have been another feature that would have moved my review to a 5 star. I still have a USB adapter connected to one of the USB ports to be able to handle everything I need. I actually could have gotten away with not having it if If I had one more port. As such, because of that silly thing, it does make it a tad bit of a nuisance to easily unplug and run, but not impossible, and far easier than my old laptop.Battery life is ok, but I tend to eat up battery life on laptops quite quickly and never get close to the life that I see on youtube reviews. You could probably get a good solid couple hours without having to worry doing everything to heart's desire.Last note, which really more a review of companies than computer, I purchased this computer from Costco and they wouldn't let me post a review a couple weeks after I had used the laptop. But there is an added perk I want to discuss Dell does offer an extended warranty plan after the initial first year and it is stepped feature. Accidental breakage seems ok for price, some of the other things seems a little steep, BUT at least it is something, especially for 1-2 years after the first year (when laptop most relevant). Costco does have an extended warranty plan, BUT if you miss signing up with in the 30 days, you are SOL. they won't help you, they have no other plan, and you can't even sign up for a more expensive price. I was flabbergast and kinda insulted considering I bought the laptop and cause of all the pandemicy stuff didn't take out of the box until about a month after bought.
