Great Buy
I bought these because I have had featherboards on my "to-do" list for a long time. When my "to-do" list bubbled up a job that needed a bunch of drawers made I bought a drawer lock bit which requires running the sides vertically on my shaper so I had to build a high fence and for $30 bucks, this seemed like the way to go.. Should have made this one of my first purchases when I got the shaper...Even before bits!! Feels and works great. I haven't been using featherboards (real men don't use that stuff) and I am not sure why I still have all my appendages. Comes with two sets of expansion adapters to fit mitre slots in both the table saw and shaper and also everything needed to use with T-slots. Sets up in seconds and breaks down to two single featherboard so I can put one in the mitre slot and the other on the fence. Instructions are pretty good although it is pretty intuitive. I am impressed with the quality and price and am looking more closely at other Milescraft products. If this is an example of their quality I am sure I will be acquiring more from them.

Very nice to have in the shop
This works very well ... when I have taller pieces on the table saw, it supports it perfectly. I also use it when resawing on the band saw. Good purchase and a great woodworker's gift.

Milescraft 1407 D/T Dual FeatherBoard
I purchased two sets of these Milescraft 1407 dual featherboards because of their ability to either be stacked for use with thicker stock or separated for use as individual featherboards. Another important feature for me was that in addition to two standard 3/4" width miter bars that fit my router table, they also included two thinner 5/8" width miter bars that will fit the narrow slots my older Makita 2703 table saw. The miter bars are all made from the same thin, cast aluminum like polymer material. The 3/4" bars were fine right out of the box, but I did need to run the left and right side on each of the 5/8" miter bars over a belt sander to reduce the width slightly near the center so they would slide smoothly in the slots of my table saw. Not a big deal though and all of the miter bars now work perfectly. The yellow plastic featherboards themselves seem to be decently made. The individual fingers have enough flex to keep even pressure on the work piece without being overly stiff or brittle. For stacked use, the two featherboards mount to a red plastic spacer ring using four thread forming Phillips head screws that fasten directly into the plastic, instead of using threaded metal inserts, so not sure how long that will last if the featherboards are stacked and taken apart regularly. The four red plastic S-knobs have threaded metal inserts though, so those should hold up to normal everyday use. Each dual featherboard came with four large flat washers and four short hold-down bolts for using them individually as well as two longer hold-down bolts for stacked use. There were also four 1/4" T-slot bolts included. Overall, considering the price I paid here on Amazon, I'm happy with the two sets I purchased and would buy again.

Doesn’t hold well at all in Dewalt saw table miter slots.
Overall, I liked the feqtherboard. It was the first one I’ve ever owned, so I don’t have much to compare it to. Some complain about how stiff the feathers are, but I liked that and would rather they be that way versus too pliable. These seemed just the right stiffness to flex slightly without being brittle and breaking, and holding the stock tight to the intended fence. What I didn’t like, was the lack of smoothness when moving it from one spot to another in the miter track or when adjusting the depth. The one straight line combined with the S shaped cureved line was good in theory, but when the two featherboards are stacked for resawing, adjusting them with the longer bolts causes the entire unit to rack and pinch, getting stuck along the way, forcing the user to stop and unjam the piece. It definitely takes special attention and both hands to manipulate into position. For this tool to be effective, I think one handed operation should be paramount, or at least to get it roughly positioned with ease, while the other hand is on the stock or the fence adjustments or something. I think better designing and more appropriate hardware would eliminate this, but I found it to be more of an annoyance than a pleasure to use. Anything safety related such as this should be easy to use, or the user won’t use it. However, for lack of a better option, I could’ve kept it and used it, if it weren’t for my saw. Not so much an issue with this fewtherboard design, as much as with my saws design, because the feather boards expandable miter track bars are actually well designed with an aggressive milling or petina on the sides to give it grip. Unfortunately, my saw, the Dewalt DWE7480, has what I believe is an aluminum dipped plastic core table (hence the reason I couldn’t go with a magnetic feather board). The result of the milling on the miter slots of my table are such that there’s an ever so slight round over on the bottom of the slot, and they’re not perfectly square. They’re actually probably about 91°-92° sidewalks from the horizontal bottom of the slot. While I didn’t think 1°-2° would make a difference, what it means is that only the very bottom of the adjustable widening miter slot adapter for this fewtherboard actually grips. Maybe 2mm of it at best. This causes it to pop out with moderate pressure. That’s not the kind of reliability I want to have mid-cut from a safety devise that’s essential to my cutting operation. Again, this is more of a flaw on the Dewalt saws table milling, but something to consider for owners of Dewalt saws considering purchasing this, which could be a lot, since we can’t use magnetic fewtherboards. I gave it 3 stars instead of 5. I took off one star for the binding and pinching and racking when adjusting when using both boards stacked and one star for its inability to hold better into a miter slot that isn’t perfectly square. Sadly, I’ll be sending it back. I really wanted this to work.

Read the FULL description and measure your saw slots first. Then SEE the instructions before you use it.
I was hoping this would fit my Skil 3310-01 table saw. It does but, sadly, only before and between the tabs for the miter gauges. This isn't an issue as the feather board can be adjusted up and down it's miter bars. With the tandem spacer and extra mounting hardware, this set works out better than getting the single feather board option. Many of the lesser ratings indicate that some people fail to read the full descriptions and/or the instructions that come with the product. Honestly, I didn't read the instructions much as the pictures are pretty straight forward. You're not supposed to tighten the miter bars before you insert them into the slots. You tighten them AFTER. I chose this as what it is. Low priced and conveniently comes with everything you basically need without having to add-on any adapters. As for performance; ripping and sizing lengths of stock improved. The cuts were cleaner with much less saw blade gouges compared to if it was just free-hands-ed pushed through with a stick. I haven't used any other feather boards before. I wouldn't call this a "PRO tool" either, but more towards entry-level. If you're looking for a bit more heavy-duty then spend a Double more bucks on another version plus the add-on adapters. So is it worth my money? Yes, as it fit's my Skil table saw and I don't have to fear as much that the work, especially slim sticks, comes flying back it me. I have yet to see if it fits my Skil router table. The description uses "nearly" NOT "universal" so it may or may not fit your miter slot. My advice is to click that full description button, read it twice, and measure you table saw slot. Other than that the price can't be beaten for what you get and what it does.

Always the better idea.
Used these to guide cabinet door and drawer parts through the table saw. They are a bit fussy in the set up requiring some unexpected fiddling but, once they're in, they're in. Got easier with more experience. Ended up with a safe set up that returned consistent results. Recommended. Enjoy!

It works great, taller than I was expecting
It looks a little daunting right out of the box. There are a lot of parts for different setups, and a bunch of different size bars for different guide groves. But once you figure out what you need and how to put it together, it works great. It holds firm and gives the right amount of force towards the fence. I thought it was going to be about 2 inches tall from the images, it is actually about 3 and a half inches tall. It is sturdy and easy to adjust. My only complaint is with as many parts as it has it would have been nice if it came with a box or bag to keep it together.

Impressive jig
Very sturdy and track inserts are a very good design, when installed they grip the track; also it is very adjustable to the width of the cut.
