GEN 3 Stages Power L | 105 5800

Works great and is easy enough to install and setup. Mine came brand new in the original manufacturer's packaging with factory warranty information in tow. I'm an avid cyclist but I've only been training with power for a few months. Here's my take:Pros:- Quickly connects to TrainerRoad App via Bluetooth on my IOS device- Quickly connects to my Garmin Edge 520 via Ant+- Doubles as a power meter and cadence sensorCons:- Because it's only measuring one side of your pedal stroke, it's important to keep your pedaling as smooth and even as possible. If your right leg tends to do all the work, you won't get accurate power measurements.I've only used it outside once, but it had no problems. I don't yet know how it holds up in wet or cold conditions.

I have Ultegra crank arms and cassettes, and buying a Stages Ultegra Power Meter would’ve been cost prohibitive. The Shimano 105 version is exactly the same size, perhaps a couple grams more in weight yet fits perfectly and does everything I needed to and cost hundreds of dollars less.

Nice one. Just be careful because it doesn't fit every bike. I had to add an spacer to prevent it to touch my bike. Good to start monitoring your power

Compared to other more pricey brands that I own-Quarq, Stages delivers accurate power reading at 1/3 the cost. Easy install as well.

This is an awesome power meter. The synching was a sinch. I enjoyed this power meter so much that I brought two of them.

I purchased a Gen3 5800 left side power meter. My head unit is mounted on the stem of an aluminum frame bike (2014 Spec Secteur). It does not pick up the ANT+ signal unless I hold it in my hand a couple feet from the crank arm. The same head unit picks up a PowerTap Hub just fine. I don't see how anyone can use these effectively with such a weak signal. I will be returning this ASAP!!

Great Power meter! Works perfectly with my Garmin devices and Tacx trainer. StagesPower app is useful for firmware update and 1st zero calibration - that's all.
