Alaska (1996)

Alaska was a dope movie when I was a child. Recently purchased it to show it to my kids - 28 years later and it’s still got that rizz. No cap.

I have been watching this movie since my kids were small. I had it on VHS and have been searching for it on DVD. I am so glad I was able to find it again even if it is not on DVD.This is a heart warming movie about family relationships with their ups and downs and the bond of love between family members.I smiled when they smiled and cheered when they cheered. It is a classic in my library that I watch over and over again...even with out the kids.

EXCELLENT Adventure movie with scenic panoramas the whole time. The little subtle things were what made the movie.The street wise Chicago kid - thrown into the vast cold damp wilderness of Alaska, yet he saves the day by stealing something from poachers- their lighter!!! HAThe cub bear was the STAR.Makes one want to sell their waterlogged, infested mansion in Florida for a cabin by a river without sharks, in the woods.

This A great movie way better than Rand McNally Video Trip version! In this movie you will learn about several ways to travel! You will take A long sea cruise with several stops on the way! One of the most interesting facts is that in some city's in Alaska is that if you take A tour bus the tour bus will need to load up on A train to get to the other city! I grew up with this travel series as A kid!

Such a great movie to watch with the family!

INCREDIBLE FILM for children and adults. A story of trumph and trial, teaching us all the lesson of never giving up. Not only that, but the main teacher of this message is a heroic and stunning polar bear named Cubby, who will forever be in my mind and my heart. I cried, I laughed, I prayed.

film rare en français. les prises de vue en alaska sont magnifique, celui qui aime la nature c'est à ne pas manquer. l'histoire est agréable et vous pouvez le faire en famille. je vous le recommande.

After having seen this film I had an image of another deeper meaning: something like a voyage of the Self. Its parts: Thought (the sister, rational and skilful), Feeling (the brother, rebel but who is able to start in order to find his lost father= the Soul). Will is the voyage itself. Help comes from the Spirit (the bear) and also from good people. Obstacles come from the poachers. At last the target is fulfilled: the Self is reunited and the Spirit is made free again, because now Its strength is in the Self. Starting from a position of Lost Paradise (from Chicago to the Alaska lands) there is a coming back, but in a new mood. Paradise is different now as people have become different.
