Kefir Fermenter (0.8L / 27oz)

Very handy. Just put your Kefir grains into the basket with the plastic straw through it and add milk. When your Kefir is made just pull basket out by straw and pour it into another jar. No more straining and mess!

I like the glass a lot and the lid but I don't like the straw with the little compartment to put my grains, I want my grains to grow and multiply, not to limit their capabilities.

The basket is a bit small, every few hours, I needed to use the included tool to poke the curds out of the holes. A much bigger basket will work better.

I ordered it directly from the seller since it was cheaper, not from Amazon. I did not like it at all. Cheap smelly plastic. Basket is too small. Not easy to clean, especially that blue stick which holds the basket.I gave it a try though. First, I had no kefir in 24h, just sour milk and kefir like substance in the basket which was difficult to wash without opening the basket. I though my grains got "sick". Then I run an experiment with the same amount of grains and milk using this Kefir Fermenter and just a regular jar. Kefir in the regular jar was good, in this fermenter I got sour milk and kefir like substance in the basket... Tried with less grains in the basket, again not really kefir as a result.Good idea, but needs improvements and better materials for the price.
