Huge mark-up for the Bosch name on a cheap product
I am a Bosch fan. Mostly because I like the logo and blue. So I waste a lot of money stupidly on Bosch stuff. I’ve wanted these for a while.At the same time, I have become very curious about Knipex. Everyone has been telling me they’re amazing.So, being bored, needing new tools, and having the cash laying around, I ordered this and the equivalent Knipex for roughly $12 more. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001094GLY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5ZZQ51MQEPQ4F9BKFH2C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1The Bosch definitely look sexy. But, they work difficult and have defects. Rust was coming out of one of them - I sprayed silicone lubricant on needle nose pliers - A LOT - and it still works unreliably (doesn’t open all the way and gets stuck). Upon examination, it might have to do with the shape of the metal parts not being perfect fits.The Bosch are made in China and, while I usually balk at that criticism, it’s real.Meanwhile, the Knipex worked great out of the box. They feel great. They have no cheap feel. They’re made in Germany.So for $12 more, I recommend getting the Knipex instead. Or for a lot less, buy a similar product from China and skip the middle-man. You’re paying for the Bosch name here.

Watch out for fedex
Great quality tools (5/5) not seen in canada, but a BIG BIG BUT - they ship from japan, fedex will send you a clearing bill for an extra $120 so this makes the purchase really not worth it. Suggest shipper ship from within canada with clearing fees and duty already covered. (just send to an amazon fulfilment depot).* Page mentions nothing about import clearing charges and duty.*

Förvånansvärt dålig kvalitet för att bara Bosch "blå" serie. Ska du verkligen använda dem, köp märket Knipex i stället eller något av de andra större märkena. Speciellt avbitaren är rätt dålig i det här paketet.
