Yes, this is a GREAT phone holder BUT not a perfect one!! As advertised it is well designed & well made. It attaches to your vent via a spring loaded clip that latches on very well (and will not fall off the vent) BUT there is nothing to keep that clip from sliding horizontally from side to side. The lower "legs" have a small rubber pad at their tips that is not particularly soft or "sticky" so they also can slide side to side also and usually do when removing the phone from the holder. The magnet (2 metal stick on plates are provided) is strong and this unit held my Samsung MEGA 6.3 well enough but it could slide a bit right or left during abrupt car movements (and every time I remove the phone). I am thinking of adding some double face tape or such to keep the legs solidly attached to the dashboard surface and/or putting some tape on the AC vent so the clip cannot slide sideways. Other than this I would have given this holder 5 Stars. It is definitely one of the better phone holders I have yet to see.

I love the way the phone mounts to the holder. The holder is a little flimsy and required a little modification on the mounting bracket but, it works great. Locking ring for ball and socket joint weak. Maybe easy to crack and break if over tighten. I ordered two of these mounts. Had to send one back because the locking ring was already broken when it arrived. MarkR

Design is good, I have an Iphone 6 plus, and a slim case, and if you turn the magnet upward, it will hold my phone when I am driving.That's the key, to not have the magnet positioned straight up and down.......cause the phone won't hold while driving.So just put your phone on the magnet, and angle the magnet, and the phone won't fall off.Excellent product.......cause it fits in my vent, close to the steering wheel......and it's raised up...closer to me.The Mayan Star !!

I have a 2007 truck and was hesitant about buying it because I didn't think it would attach to the vent being an older vehicle. But to my surprised it worked! It has an adjustable piece to turn either way your vent goes. I like it because my phone is big and the magnets provided really holds it securely. I use to have one where it sticks to the windshield. This one I like better because it doesn't interfere with my view while driving.

Really great, easy to mount and take off when not in use. The metal disc does need to be on the outside of the phone case to really work though, if you put it inside your case it doesn't hold firmly. I love just slapping it on the holder with no clamps to mess with!!

May work well for smaller phones, but not the Samsung Galaxy S5. Swivels whenever you turn and is prone to letting the phone just fall off. The magnetic plate is extremely difficult to remove once it is attached to your phone. If you have vents that are immobile and a light and small phone, this might work.

Works great for my phone-moves side to side a little bit while vehicle is in motion but the magnet is strong and holds the phone on well. I was worried about it dropping when going over railroad tracks and such but it sticks great!

Great little produce, does what it claims to do. Does not fit a Mercedes SLK 320, I had to rig it to the cup holder instead of the vent, this works but leaves a crease in the dash when removed. The vent blades are to close together and I almost broke the vertical blade trying to install it, even if the blades were further apart the units feat would have sat on the control knobs for the AC, car is just to compact. Slip the metal vent grabber marked A (in photo) onto B allow black tension mount to slide to red line (where it creases the dash) and close the cup holder, this will allow you to use it in your SLK.~M
