I really like the craftsmanship! Just got the collar, so not sure about durability or sturdiness. Looks really good in both areas though

Good leather, nice red color. Brass a little thin but OK. Engraving passable. All in all a good buy.

I bought this collar back in 2018 when we got our German Shepherd. It is now 2022, 4 years later and I am purchasing again. I am buying a new one only because this one is starting to get a little smelly. Our dog is 4 years old, 101lbs and runs and plays and swims every chance he gets. We take him on vacations with us, he’s been in the ocean, on hikes, in swimming pools, lakes, streams, ponds, running through woods, playing with other dogs. He lives a very active life and this collar has held up through it all. I am very very impressed with the quality and durability. 10/10 recommend.

This is such a nice collar, and we kept it as a backup, but ended up getting a smaller brand because this was just too wide and big for my 20 lb mix corgi. But very, very nice and would recommend for bigger breeds

My dog has worn this collar for about a year now. (Update: three years, now) It is well made and sturdy: both the leather and metal plate. (Update: still sturdy after three years of constant and heavy use).Before that, he had a leather collar with his name and our phone number embossed in the leather. That method did not work: the letters rubbed smooth after a short while and became unreadable unless I scratched them back in. After my dog got out and a neighbor found him but couldn’t read the lettering, I replaced it with this one.Laying the metal plate on the collar is much better than have a dangling tag or engraining the ID in the leather, itself. Tags cause noise, they are less comfortable, and they are more difficult to read.The weight of the buckle naturally shifts the lightweight brass metal identification plate to the top of his neck, which makes it really easy for someone to read it.The metal plate is lightweight and sturdy. The name and number has not and will not fade or scratch away. The metal plate conforms to the shape of their neck and does not bind at all. It also has a nice aged patina after a year.I’ve received lots of compliments from other dog owners at the dog park who have been trying to find something like it.Now when my dog gets out of the yard, passers-by can contact me quickly. Very indispensable.Update: Three years later, the collar is still in great shape. My dog is an enthusiastic runner and wrestler at the dog park, and this collar still looks great. Very satisfied with this purchase. Still indispensable for my dog.

I have done leather work. These collars are well made. Would be near perfict if they spent the time to ease the edges of the leather. I did that so mine are perfict.Timely shipping. Made in the USA!

This item came packaged nicely, the brass nameplate was done up well and was easy to read. The leather is nice and soft, no hardness to it so my dog didn't have to "break it in". The style is well thought out as the nameplate being done on soft brass is easy to scuff is opposite the tags/buckle area, so with thw weighted part always pulling itself to the bottom of the neck, it's harder to damage the plate (though it still will get scuffs... Especially if you have a big dog thats active. Lol). I would definitely get this again, with or without the name plate, it seems like decent quality leather, and my dog (who is allergic to everything, including grass! 🙄) has no issues with it. Two thumbs up.Edit: My puppers had this collar for quite awhile until we had an unfortunate skunk incident... I was happy to reorder from this company the same collar. Still amazing quality! And fast delivery too! Still two thumbs up, love the collar. Fits my dog well. Will order from again if one is needed in the future. Which, this thing is durable... So may be a bit. If we are lucky to avoid the skunks.

Okay. OKAY!!! Amazon just popped up asking me to review this item almost 3 years after buying it, and i'm glad it did bc I LOVE THIS COLLAR!! I bought this for my dog Milo 3 years ago and he is a 115lbs German Shepard/ Rottweiler mix. A BIGGGG boy that before proper training pulled like a mf. This collar has with stood the test of time and is still going strong. The leather has aged great, even after the years of pulling, getting wet from swimming or getting hosed off, and being worn 24-7. The name plate on it has held up really well too, not even a sign of it looking like its gonna come off. When I tell you you are getting your bang for you buck, I am not kidding. I can't express how much abuse this collar has endured from my dog and it is still in great condition. I am probably about to purchase another one, not because of the collar, but because we moved and need to have an updated address on it. I wish I could give this more than just 5 stars. No joke.
