Amazing Sound And Incredible Value!
WOW! I took a chance on a product name I didn't recognize and I'm so glad I did! I can't believe the sound this device puts out! I needed a portable stereo speaker for business presentations I give on the road using my laptop. The sound is rich and full - especially in Enhanced Mode. The high end is clear and distinct without being shrill. The bass far surpasses what I expected from a speaker of this size. You can feel the bass in your body - not like a more powerful computer speaker system - but enough to be amazed at its clarity and power! The bass doesn't distort (unless the input is overly-driven for bass) and perfectly supports midrange and high end sounds. When playing music, voices come through as if the singer is right in front of you. I haven't been this amazed and satisfied with a product like I have been with the Rokono B20 for years. All of the other 5-star reviews are spot-on. Bluetooth sounds as good as AUX input, which was totally unexpected! I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a versatile portable speaker that sounds fantastic!

Waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!
I *like* it - caveat, I don't love it. This speaker is pretty decent, though even for the reduced price I still expect better from professionally-made name-brand tech. The problem I encountered right away with this speaker is with the Aux-In function. More specifically, when connected via 3.5mm aux cable (whether the proprietary 3.5 that comes with it, or one of my own,) the audio will play for about four seconds (if that) and then cut out. Another few seconds later, it may come back, but then four more seconds and it's gone again. Un-fecking-acceptable! If you are going to make something with an aux port (which I highly recommend because it gives better sound quality and requires less battery than this bluetooth foolishness into which we're all being slowly herded,) then the least you can do is make it so it *works.* I really didn't want to have to use the bluetooth with this all the time, so I'm pretty disappointed that this is happening. I wrote a question about it on the product page's "Q&A," but no one answered me (thanks fellas. Thanks a bunch. <.<) and as near as I can tell, there is no remedy for this situation besides maybe returning it for an exchange, which is way more time and trouble than a thing like this should require. Also, apparently other people have had this problem, so if you're looking for something you can use mostly or exclusively with a 3.5mm aux-cable, then sorry, but your princess is in another castle.Other than that, I find this a very pleasant and agreeable little device. The sound quality is good for a speaker its size. I also appreciate the "Sound Enhancer" feature, which I imagine does a similar thing as the "sound-retriever" in a Pioneer A/V Receiver (basically guessing the frequencies which seem to be missing in lossy file formats like MP3, and filling them back in for a sound much closer to CD quality.) When the Sound Enhancer is turned on, the sound I hear is much fuller and more complete-sounding. However, in case you didn't think of this, battery life will surely be effected when you use a feature like this in a device that doesn't plug into the wall for its power source. I don't know how much less time you can expect, but I would guess you could knock at least an hour off of the effective play-time between charges. However, I bought this for the bathroom so I could enjoy my favorite new-age music during my morning shower, so in my case it's not as if huge fecking deal is huge. They say this is water-resistant, and can handle being splashed with water. I'm not pushing my luck to find out, but it seems to tolerate the steam from the shower just fine sitting three to four feet away in my small but decently-ventilated studio-apartment bathroom. I *am* a little bit concerned about the apparently rubber outer-casing though, in terms of how long that will last in such humidity. For one final note, I'd like to point out that when turning-on this speaker, you need to hold down the power button for two to three seconds. Just pressing it for one second or less gets the blue indicator light to flash once, but then nothing. Once again, not a big problem, but good to know ahead of time so you don't erroneously conclude that you got a defective unit and return it when there's no need.*Update - I've now owned this for a few months and not only does the hardwire connection not work, but now the bluetooth signal is cutting out on me. At first I thought it was because I was trying to play via bluetooth with my phone behind a closed door, so I brought it into the room and put it right next to the speaker. even from two feet away, it still has a choppy signal. Totally unacceptable!! Especially when the auxiliary jack never worked in the first place. Of course, by now my return window has closed (gee, Rokono, how very convenient for you...) and I'll have to just throw it away. What a shameful waste!! Don't buy this product. It may work somewhat decently at first, but that should NOT be taken as an indication of what you can expect in the longrun, or even a few months after purchase. You will have wasted your money.

Amazing! Buy it!
Omg is this little thing incredible. Im a huge Huge audiophile so if it doesn't sound good I won't use it. I was really skeptical about this speaker being some random name cheap speaker but the reviews were good and with the price u can't argue, so I give it a shot. Holy s*** did this surprise me. Sounds awesome and has way more volume than I expected. It has a lot of bass for a little portable speaker but don't expect it to compare to a full sized stereo. It doesn't get that low. It's too tiny for that to be possible. But the quality and bass it has is mind blowing for its size and price. The build quality seems great, and it came with a USB plug and an aux in plug. Also came with a really nice little protective bag for transport. Aux sounds great and bluetooth sounds just as great. If u can sit this on a table or something decent size and wood, it will fibrate the wood. That will resonate more sound and give it even better tone and volume. The only negative thing I have to say is the little rubber dust cover that goes over the plugs doesn't stay closed. It springs back open. Idk why but w/e not a big deal at all... Otherwise this thing is sweet.....

soooooo disappointed!
i recently bought this speaker after the bass in my jbl on stage II, that i've had since 2004, literally, finally died on me. moment of silence please. ok, so i was hesitant to buy a new jbl as i read many reviews and it just didn't sound like the same magnificent machine i bought 11 years ago. i guess they just don't make 'em like they used to. so, after days, and i mean daaaaays, of reading reviews here on amazon, on youtube, and on any other site i could, i decided to go with the rokono. man, it was a dud from day one. 1) bluetooth kept stuttering, for lack of a better word. even when the object playing music was literally on top of it, next to it, kissing it, cuddling with it, the sound just kept stuttering, as if someone was pressing the mute button to the beat of i want you back by the jackson 5. yeah. so, i figure i'll use the aux cord, yes? no. when i used the aux cord, it actually got worse and would just drop sound randomly every 1-2 min. so frustrating!!

Dips out on quiet songs, but ok (ish) on bluetooth)
I bought this device primarily to link to my auxiliary device.Although it worked ok doing this, it was not capable of picking up quiet songs, or quiet parts of songs. As a result, it would dip out as a song fades out and not pick up until the next (loud) song began. Likewise it would dip out in the middle of songs for the dame reason. I read all trouble shoots for this and ensured all devices were cranked up to the max but the problem was not resolved. If you like quiet music like piano or light classical, don't even try! When it did pick up on louder rock and pop songs, the sound was 'ok'. I would have liked more volume and bass, but felt this product didn't deliver. I played it in my average size living room, but it sounded tinny and lacked 'oomph'. You couldn't hold a party with it, put it this way. A coughing fit drowned it out.The Bluetooth function worked well with this product. You do need to keep your device close though or it dips out. You get more volume and bass using this way, but not that much more. It's a shame as the product looks so nice and has a lovely metal front finish. It would probably suit someone who wants light music to garden to, or someone on small quarters who doesn't want to disturb (halls of residence maybe?)In short, a bit too much money for what it delivers.

Pleased with this purchase.
Can't remember when I bought this, maybe around Jan/Feb 2015, but I still have it and use it now (Dec 2015). No problems with operation, NFC, Bluetooth and audio jack connection, all work fine. Sound quality is more than appropriate. There are more powerful speakers out there, but you are definitely getting your money's worth here.

Fantastic sound
It does exactly what it says. Bluetooth or direct it delivers and amazing sound for such a compact unit. I use my phone and my I pad playing music or even the radio. Good inside & outside the house and in our caravan. Highly recommend
