IMAGINATIVE INTRIGUING AND DOWNRIGHT ENTERTAINING !
Wonderful story with the most skillful use of the English language i've read in many years. The multitude of analogies are worth the price of admission alone. They are so intricately woven and outrageously funny that i'm afraid they could not be translated to any other language. So for all you English speaking readers, here's a good time just waiting for you.

Heady, humorous science fiction of the highest grade!
A highly entertaining and convincing sci-fi jaunt that employs a very engaging if, at times overbearing, writing style within the dialogue-driven narrative, I both loved and found myself feeling excluded from the highly educated, metaphor-spitting voices used by all of the writer's cast of characters though this is also the grounds upon which I cast my one major criticism of the author: I found the uniformity of vocabulary and speaking style of each and every character in the book highly unbelievable. Still, a wonderful story that I did not want to put down until finished. I will now proceed in hopes that there is a sequel to continue my journey.

Goes nowhere
No plot. Terrible ending. Needs about five more chapters. Very creative but stopped in middle of story. At least needs another volume

Permian Nonsense!
This is the strangest book I've ever read. The imagination of the plot was way out there, the characterization was a little off the wall and the science required a PhD in biology to follow. You almost get a sense of where the author was going but just couldn't get there. This book was a very laborious read, Don't waste your time or effort.

A good insomnia read
This is a prime example of books you download when you've been up for three days straight. It reads like an undergrad was having too much fun with himself in the reference section.Other reviews complain about the story halting midway and not coming to a tidy ever after. This is a feature of the story, not a bug. Quantum entanglement and tenured professors are difficult for the uninitiated to understand but Emissary of the Extinct is a cute little parable that could help you understand it a bit.

Precalling The End
A crash course in Geology, Cultural Anthropology and Genetics, a unique and intriguing take on what can only be considered First Contact. A great, scientifically challenging and fascinating read!

Unusual SciFi story of a distance past trying to resurrect itself to save or maybe replace mankind.
Excellent SciFi by an author who a true wordsmith. Love the science woven into this tale, even if the idea of a species being able to "precall" the future presents a number of philosophical issues. I give it five stars just for the writing, even though the ending left me puzzling over whether I missed a deep analogy that was revealed by the last two lines.

Magnificent
I was delighted with the science and I laughed out loud at the witty repartee and comebacks thrown around. Brilliant.

Just WOW!!!
The potential interraction between humans and other intelligent species has been very often addressed. In contrast to most books of this kind, the species described here is not extraterrestrial but an evolutionary branch of terrestrial proto-mammals. Despite high intelligence and extraordinary precognitive abilities, these beings went extinct millions of years ago because their physiology didn't allow them to cope with the catastrophic events which triggered the Permian-Triassic mass extinction. They left however a legacy which was discovered by humans in modern times. The book touches a broad range of scientific fields such as Geology, Paleontology, Physiology, Molecular Biology and Quantum Mechanics. It is fast-paced and gripping. The reader should have, however, a very good command of the English language because the vocabulary and the phrasing used by the author are quite complex. In conclusion, I definitely recommend this book and hope for a sequel, even if for the time being it's meant to be a stand-alone story.
