This review is for the black screen for the iphone 7 a1661. This is the screen I purchased, but for some reason the link took me to a different page, so I wanted to specify.I replaced a friend’s screen on his phone, and this screen definitely did the trick. There is a very important step-by-step process that needs to be followed, which is easily found on YouTube.Before getting started, make sure you have: tools, a tray/shallow box for parts and screws, a magnetic strip/thin flat magnet for screws, a reference/YouTube guide, and some patience. It’s helpful to take pictures of the inside of the phone before so you know how everything looks once it’s put back together.Overall, this screen was pretty good quality. There were 2 minor issues. One of the cords didn’t seem to want to tuck back into place for me. It almost appeared that it was a little long. It didn’t seem to affect anything once I got it tucked into place, but be careful not to pinch or crimp any cables when placing the screen back in. The other issue I had is that something was putting pressure on the back of the screen when I finally sealed it back up. It caused a small bright spot on the screen toward the bottom right where that cord I mentioned was a little too long. I’m not sure if it was caused by the cord itself or some small rectangular piece inside the phone that was putting pressure in the wrong spot due to a slightly different screen. That being said, the bright spot wasn’t very noticeable except to me (I’m a horrible perfectionist about these things.), and the bright spot was only noticeable when the phone was booting up With the black startup screen. You couldn’t tell once the phone was on or when looking at pictures. Ultimately, my friend didn’t care that it had a bright spot, and he was just thankful to have his phone back in good working condition. The spot really wasn’t worth the effort of sending it back, plus the darn thing was already in there, so it’s staying... until it gets broken again. 🙃Side note - while you’re changing the screen, go ahead and clean the gunk out of the charger port. You’ll be amazed what’s in there and how much faster your phone charges if you remove a lot of debris.

12hours after install.Screen works great. From phone to text to messenger to games, not one hiccup.The packaging took me by surprise. Simple and not over done. All components were organized and not just crammed into a bag. Even the suction cup had a cylindrical hole to maintain its shape.This assembly has a pre-installed front camera housing. Makes for easier install when most others don’t and lack a new adhesive to apply. The lower ribbon cables were taped to the back as to keep the ribbons from getting an unnecessary bend. Two extremely time saving steps of the install.The display does seam to be a little dimmer. Not too much but, I have yet to use the phone outside in full sun. Good bye. Thank you!

I broke my screen and didn't want to pay $160 for a professional replacement. This screen works well enough, but it is a little dimmer and has less contrast than the original. It is also slightly thicker than the original screen. Also note that your phone will no longer be waterproof once you install this screen, as the original screen is waterproofed by adding a strip of waterproof adhesive around the edge. The kit included all the tools you will need, other than a heat gun, but it does not include instructions, so you will need to find a video to follow on youtube. The screen does not include the front camera or home button, so you have to reuse the old ones from your original phone.It will do for an inexpensive screen replacement, but you get what you pay for.

Solid product, easy install at a fair value. Priced a little higher than others. The biggest issue is that the wipes that they include are tiny -- but not a deal breaker. Should be a sufficient screen until my SO drops it again. :-)

The product matches the quality of the original screen. The item came in a great package with everything well organized and secure. The tools they included are also 3x better than most kits i ever used and dont break halfway through install. I loved this company and am going to use again!! Thanks guys!

This was a perfect fit, and simple to install. The screws are minuscule, so be mindful of where they came from. The most difficult part for me was removing the broken screen from the iPhone. The handy suction cup couldn’t create a seal due to the screen fractures. I used the included “guitar picks” to gently remove the defective screen. All in, I completed the repair in about 10-12 minutes. Very simple. Highly recommended product.Final note, avoid caffeine before attempting this, trembling hands make this harder than it normally would be. :)

This screen fit perfectly, the home button is a little off but that could be an error of my own. Less than a month after installing the phone fell and cracked the screen where I couldn't type anymore. Customer service was fast about helping me and fixing my problem!

I've replaced a lot of iPhone screens so I could replace this screen in my sleep. Package is good and what matters is that this screen works. I did not have any issue with this screen's quality. It looks like the original. No dead pixels are apparent. The glass is surely not Gorilla Glass, But who cares, the price is well, and they provide screen protector. I will definitely be looking for this screen again if I need it, and will recommend it to others who need a screen replacement.
