Smart Dimmer Switch, Alexa Dimmer Switch, Smart WiFi Light Switch Work with Google Home and IFTTT, Single-Pole, Neutral Wire Required

[Update 10-9-2019] - Hate this switch. Reducing to 1 star. It will not stay on 95% of the time. After turning it on, within 10 seconds it will dim and turn off by itself. I have removed the screen protector, cleaned it, checked the internal LCD/Incandescent switch, performed the factory reset multiple times, and removed it from my network. Nothing works, and nothing gets you upset more than trying to find clothes before work in the morning and having to fight a light switch the whole time! To late for me to return, but I have replaced it with a more traditional fader and threw this one in the trash.I like the concept, it was easy to wire up and had no issues connecting it to WIFI. The problem is that twice now the switch will dim down and turn off by itself as soon as you turn it on. You turn it back on, and it immediately dims and turns back off. Both times it done this, it corrected itself after 5 or 6 cycles and then performed as intended.There is a tiny switch on the body and there is no instruction to what this switch does. I read another review that said this was a selector for incandescent or LED type lights. The lack of instruction is very concerning since the wrong selection could damage certain lighting fixtures.I will continue to experiment with the switch and try flipping the tiny switch on the body to see if my results change and will update this review accordingly. But for now, I am leery that this switch may start to turn itself off again or become unusable. It's never a good feeling to install something, then feel like it will fail at any point...

My original purchase of this item arrived scratched and required replacement by Amazon. After receiving the replacement, physical installation was easy. However, the configuration with my Wifi was difficult as my router has 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz networks broadcasting with the same name. The app was not able to distinguish between these, but this is a common problem with "smart" devices.After a few attempts, I was able to get the switch connected, but it has been nothing but problems since. The light is considerably dimmer than before and the light will randomly dim or even turn off. Pressing any buttons on the switch, activating through the app, or using my smart home device have no effect. The light turns on briefly, then turns off.Do not buy this switch.

This product came used, as if someone bought used it and returned it. It was scratch. I bought 2 if them and they both came scratched. Impossible to sync to yout phone and it dims by itself and makes the lights go crazy. I bought a few of this switches at a local store they usually sell for 50 so I figured wow a good price, but what a waste of money and time. If it had a negative one I'll give it that.

All four units had some scratches that made them look used, with 3 out of the 4 looking like they had been abused during use. I want to like this dimmer, but I can't abide paying full price for something that looks like it's already been in the wall and received some abuse. The manufacturer needs to address the quality control or the seller needs to not mislabel products as new when they have already been in use.

I purchased theses smart dimmer switches but never installed them so I am unable to speak to how well they operate. I returned the switches because the exposed part of the switches had minor to moderate blemishes/ scratches. They appeared to be new/ never installed when I received them. There was a protective plastic cover on the display portion of the switch which I did not remove to inspect for quality of display, however this area of the switch did not appear to have blemishes or scratches. I was happy with the style of the switch but the poor surface cosmetics was a deal breaker for me and so I sent them back before installing.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT A HOUSE FIRE!!!! I had an electrician installed this switch and within an hour the switch exploded and started smoking. I quickly shut off the power and removed it but it was still smoldering when I took it out. I strongly advise you do not buy this switch!

This is a nice switch in concept, but has some significant challenges. The first one I had randomly turned off without warning, and frequently fell off the WiFi network losing it's ability to be smart controlled. I returned and received a replacement, which has been better, but is still occasionally falling off the home network.Overall, I think it's aesthetically nice looking and operating, but for the frustration, I won't buy another.

It works. You do have to download a separate app on you phone to connect it to Alexis. Ours while sometimes turn off without being told but it could be our old house and the installation not the device!
