European Furniture of the 19th Century Hardcover – August 16, 2013

Highly recommend

This is a great book about 19th c. European furniture. It covers a wide variety of styles, countries, etc. The only thing I did not like much is that it has a lot of black and white photos and less colored ones.

Overall the layout and the presentation and details of each subject matter of this book is very extensive and well thought off. My only concern is that there are too many black and white pictures of the furniture in this book . It doesnt do justice to the beautiful funiture featured but the one that are featured in Colours they look excellent . I would love to rate the book as 5 stars but due to this mitigating factor I have no choice but to downgrade it to 4 stars.

Tons of pictures Very extensive collection of pictures. Description for each is usually 5-6 line short paragraph with longer introduction for each section. My only disapointment is that most pictures are in black and white. A was expecting most if not all pictures in colour. Still a very good reference book.
